Has there ever been a conference that had the 2, 3, and 4 seeds lose the first round series the same year? It likely won't happen w/ two huge game 5's but it wouldn't be shocking to me at all if it happens. Cleveland should just start preparing for the NBA finals now.

I agree. While the top of the Eastern conference has established itself as elite (i.e. Cleveland and Boston, before KG injury), the rest of the East is too mentally weak and fractured to offer any resistance to the Cavs, imo.

I'm a big NBA fan, however to contradict myself I am also only mildly interested in this years playoffs for the first few rounds anyway. I can't personally recall a season where 2 teams are such overwhelming favorites to make it to the Finals that I can't even conceive of a team that can knock them out. I would have like the Spurs and/or Celtics chances w/o their key injuries but not anymore.

 

If Cleveland and LAL don't make it to the Finals I will be stunned.

New Orleans must have forgot it was a playoff game. They got beat by 58.

I hope the Lakers start closing games better, they blew big leads in every game. That second unit just isn't playing defense, and Bynum looks as if he came back a little too early.

 

They got the win in 5 games, so not too much to complain about. I really hope Houston beats the Blazers, the Lakers really struggle in Portland. Portland could drag that series out and beat up on Lakers.

I think they'll pick the intensity up as the playoffs advance. They toyed with the Jazz and won rather easily...not to mention, Utah isn't an easy team to play against. They're undersized, but very physical and they have a great PG.

 

I don't think Portland would fare as well against LA in the playoffs as they did during the season. Of course, it looks like Houston will be the matchup.

 

As I said earlier, I don't think LA or Cleveland will go any more than six games en route to the finals. The Celtics/Bulls series has been really fun to watch, but other than that, I can't get overly excited knowing that its just a matter of time until we see the Cavs and Lakers. I am excited about that series.

I'm not sure why the NBA wants the Celtics to lose this game but the fix is most certainly on. Ray Allen fouls out w/ 6 minutes to go and I don't think any of his last 4 fouls were fouls.

For the 3rd time in 5 games the Celtics and Bulls are headed to overtime. Pierce w/ a big shot w/ 10 seconds left to tie it.

This Bulls and Celtics series has been awesome. Although I do believe that the last two fouls on Ray Allen were pretty tacky.

Unreal series. With the way this is going I think the Bulls hit a buzzer beater.
