We paid to park in the fast food parking lots right by the stadium.

 

We got our tickets on Ebay.

Took the train out in 1987 or so during an Arlington Millions Horse Race weekend. Harry Carey walked right above us on the catwalk on his way to the john. He received a standing ovation for that. Lots of fun.

I did one of these tours about 7-8 years ago. I think this was the company I went with. It was a blast. It's not cheap, but it's not outrageous concidering what you get. There are other tours on their website, I just chose this one cause it's an easy drive or cheap flight. It's a great way to see a bunch of teams and a bunch of ballparks. A single person can get the double rate if they want to share a room with someone else.

A good option for a larger group is one of the roof tops next to Wrigley. Just as good as being there since you can see the game, hear the PA and watch on television PLUS the facilities are better. Most roof top prices include unlimited food and beer and have modern, clean bathrooms.

 

Then, after the game, you can join in with the rest of the fans at the local bars.

 

I always use StubHub for tickets. I have been to events all of the country and I have never been dissatisfied.

I went to Chiropractic school in the suburbs and went to several games. The best were tickets made available through Don Gullett. They were down the first base line. I have sat behind home plate, but down the line was awesome. I would agree with an earlier post that e-bay is probably your best shot at cheaper seats.

This is one of the rooftops I have attended during a Cubs game. It is next to the firehouse on Waveland.

Seems like most of the rooftop sights I visited only catered to groups of 10 or more for most games.

Thats what I was thinking for a number of reasons. Wrigley, atleast when I went made you feel like you were back in the 1930's. You have the Old Factory style bathroom for example. But it is a great place to watch a game. I would say Ebay is your best bet. When I went they were playing the Mets, we had great seats along the 3rd base line, and really didn't pay much more than face value. I don't remember exactly how much it was, but Ebay would be your best bet, IMO, I'm never impressed with the prices from StubHub.

I went in '96 just to go w/ my family. The Braves were in town and it was a double header. Maddux only needed 88 pitches to go the full 9 and Glavine pitched the back half. In the first game, Michael Tucker hit a homer into rightfield and the fan wouldn't throw it back. I thought that he was going to be thrown onto the field.
