Hire Frances Bavier as their strength and conditioning coach!:thumb:

All joking aside, the Tomcats will be tough this year. If a couple of their JV players from last year hit the weights this summer they could be very good. (Hornbuckle and I cannot remember the other kid's name but he played some varsity and looked great @ the JV level)

I believe you are referring to Withrow. (in terms of looking great at the JV level) The Cats will be a very rough out for any team in the 16th IF they can replace Bonner--which will not be easy!

Three very good returning players will be Skaggs, Whetzel, Johnson>

Thank you! Yes, Withrow is who I was trying to remember. He should be a factor this year.

Don't forget Dylan DeLaney!

Oops. Major blunder on my part leaving out Delaney--who I understand is becoming quite the clutch player--even on another field!!

Ashland will have some of the better guard play scoring wise in the region next year but will be soft on the inside, and while their guards could score did not handle pressure in the back court very well at all in the times I saw them play.

Zero, and I mean zero post play = no serious contention come tournament time. Third best team in the 64th district.

Man this sounds like what we heard before we played last years 64th district tournament. How did that turn out????

Yep, they won on Bobby Kouns court. Where is the district held this year?

The real question is how much time does Buddy have left to get the Tomcats to Rupp Arena? Is the seat hot yet?

I would consider it pretty hot for this season considering the expectations at Ashland.

Bob Kouns court!:lol: What is scary is that Bonner will commit as many fouls in next years district tournament as he did in this years.

I will stand by my evaluation. 1. Fairview 2. Rose Hill 3. Ashland 4. Boyd Co.

Agree with you Panther, don't know if the administration will cut him some slack because he had no real chance with Elliott county in the region but time will tell. Ashland is kinda like UK with the expectations: either win, win big or hit the door!

Well then someone needs to hit the door because it has been awhile since Ashland "won big".
