April 10, 200917 yr Man, I was hoping the impressive spring would be a good start to getting on track for Homer. Hopefully it's was just a bad start, but you have to wonder if he will ever be the pitcher the Reds thought he would be.
April 10, 200917 yr I think Homer would be better served in a new atmosphere. He obviously has a world of potential, but the Reds system doesn't look to be doing him much good. If the Reds could get a decent prospect (like a SS) I would be for moving him.

Yes, but they have shown the ability to bounce back from rough outings. Homer hasn't strung together 3 good starts in a row in his entire minor league career (5 years now). And I don't know who is happy about it. As a Reds fan, I want him to be successful.

The local media has brainwashed us into thinking he's the next best thing. He came in as a fireballer thinking he could throw it past anybody. It doesn't work that way in the pros. IMO, it's been his ego that has hampered any progress, not the Reds.

There are several orgainzations, the Twins & Braves come to mind, that would not have put up with his insibordination early on.
