Coach Tackett next season?

 

I've heard Coach Tackett's name tossed around for the past two seasons!

What about coach Love?

I would think Coach Love would be the next in line at Ashland.

I agree. Tony Love is also Head Coach of the wrestling team and the boys respond well to him.

 

I'm in no hurry to see Coach Hart retire. But, when he does someday - Coach Love is ready to take over.

What about Coach Dowdy? I think he has the potential to be a great head coach.

I agree. I will be more suprised to see Ashland lose during the regular season.

 

 

I'd have to disagree. the Tomcats have some quality opponents on the schedule - Johnson Central and Woodford Co. (both are strong district foes). Belfry and Ironton are always strong. Add in Russell and Raceland and the regular season is no walk in the park.

 

Ashland will have some solid talent returning at the skill positions - very deep at running back, in fact. But, the line will be mostly untested. That's not to say the linemen won't rise to the occasion. But, games are won or lost at the LOS - where the Tomcats will be unproven.

I remember Kosakowski and Ball, they will be the experience for Ashland's line. Two down, three to go. If Ashland finds three more strong linemen that are ready to play, they will be in good shape.

You are head on with your schedule. That is a very tough list of games, (thanks for including Raceland as a tough game) but you have a lot of talent and a very good coaching staff returning and starting the year off against Greenup, a rebuilding team, will help you prepare for the tougher games that lie ahead.

As for your LOS issue, I don't see it as an issue at all. I think you will be pleasantly suprised with their output.:thumb:

The O-Line is obviously the biggest question mark for Ashland. From what I have been hearing, Mark Ball has had quite a few disciplinary issues at school and at this point, I am not sure if he will be on the team come next season. Rashard Carter will also need to gain the trust of Coach Hart. Having plenty of two and three year starters on the team will be vary valuable, so that will most likely be the Tomcats strong point.

This is disappointing news. I hope these two young men “straighten up and fly right”. I’d hate to see them miss their senior year.

 

The Tomcats will be fine – with, or without, them. But, I hope they can be a part of the team.

Wow. That's very surprising to me. Based on my assessment of both teams last year and with what Johnson Central has coming back, I'd have thought that Johnson Central would be big, big favorites over Paul Blazer this year (and they still do play one another in the regular season, correct?). But you are closer to those two teams, so I'll have to defer to your knowledge.
