Am I the only one who wasn't impressed with Snaer tonight? I think he forced alot of shots and was just about the points. It was an all-star game, everyone can get shots off! He is a very good player, but to me I didn't think he was that much better than anyone else in the event.

 

Siva was the best for me. He is quick, athletic, and is a very good passer and is unselfish. I thought the kids that were going to Indiana looked good as well.

 

Orton will be a beast in college. He is much quicker than he looks. I think he has really good potential.

 

As GameTime said, who ever thinks John Hood isn't a top level player should stop. He isn't LeBron James or anything, but he will be a solid college player. And he knows what it means to be a Wildcat! I'm very glad to know that he is coming to UK.

I know it was only an All Star game, but Hood impressed me. He silenced the doubts I had about him. I also loved the jersey give away during the dunk contest, great move by Hood.

Could be. I was impressed with him and his ability to get off any shot he wanted. There wasn't a player out here who could figure out how to stop him and as a Duke fan I do not look forward to playing him in the coming years. Maybe he'll be 1 and done so he won't have to bother me for more than a year. I thought he, Siva, and Buckles were the best players on the court. He showed he can shoot it and penetrate it. I like Snaer.

Did anyone else notice Nolan Dennis didn't get much PT? Maybe it was just me, but he seemed to have played the least amount of minutes for either squad.

I wonder why that was. You would think being an all-star game that showcases the two major schools in Kentucky and their top recruits that they would try to get those players on the floor a little more.

Yes. The kid is a flat out stud. He owned Bledsoe for five straight possessions... and Bledsoe is supposed to be (and in the second half looked like) a pretty tough defender.

I think UK and U of L fans both should be pretty happy after tonight. U of L has to be thrilled about Siva. The questions about his height aren't warranted in my opinion he looked to be a legit 6'-6'1". He is just so smooth. He handles transition and traffic with ease. Marra looks like he has the potential to be an offensive threat already. Buckles came from out of nowhere to go on a 5 minute scoring binge. (although not all of those points were impressive)

 

On the UK side, it seems like a lot of doubts were eliminated. Hood looked like he absolutely belonged. He's not going to be dominant and he'll take a few years to become a player but he'll be a guy Cats fans love. Orton really surprised me with how good he looked. Hands were fantastic, footwork was above average, and he was in great shape. He'll definitely benefit from playing with either PPat or Cousins.... That is of course if he doesn't go to Kansas....:sssh:

Snaer took a lot of shots, and didn't look to pass much. I was impressed with his athleticism, but honestly I thought Watford looked as good or better than anyone in the game. IU has a very impressive class coming in.

Snaer and Siva were named MVP's...
