7 Pounds...

Featured Replies

Watched this last night. The start is very confusing but it gets alot better!

I didn't care for it at all. The beginning was horrible but it did get a little better toward the end. Just not my type of movie at all.

I thought it was one of the best movies I'd ever seen as well. It does start out a bit confusing as you're trying to figure out what's happening. Then of course, you realize why everything's moving the way it is. VERY good movie!!

I've been wanting to see this. I'm going to check the Red Box at the grocery later. Hopefully, it's not sold out.

I really liked it. Will Smith is getting older and I think he is trying to get away from the straight comedy, adventure thing. Although im sure he will do plenty more adventure movies. This was more pure acting. You have to understand the title to understand the movie.

I'm very surprised there were no awards given to this movie. It was very moving, and, of course Will Smith did an amazing job.

Know what is weird?

I just got done watching this movie.

I got straight up from watching it to come post a thread about it here. And what was the thread on the very top of the GD page? This one. Weird.

I thought it was a very good movie. It was very sad...Will Smith did do a wonderful job. I can't believe it got such a poor rating on Rotten Tomatoes.

Saw it Friday night, it was good... Had me thinking thoughout the day on Saturday, that is how you know it was good... I'll watch it again to pick up stuff you miss the first time for sure...

I watched it a few weeks ago at the movies and I was torn up. Great movie!

We watched this movie Friday. The beginning is a bit difficult to follow . . . but it turns out to be a really good movie. Gives you plenty of food for thought.

So, I watched the movie and loved it. However, I still don't understand the title. I understand the seven part, but not the pounds part. Anyone want to help me out here?

"The [audience] will not know exactly what this man is up to." Will Smith is reported to have confirmed that the title refers to Shakespeare's The Merchant Of Venice, in which a debtor must pay a pound of flesh.[9] In this case it amounts to parts of his body donated to seven persons deemed worthy by Smith's character. They are the recipients of his heart, a lung, part of his liver, and his eyes, among other things.

Oh...okay. Thanks for the information. I was hoping it was something obscure like that and not something obvious that I was missing.
