What KY High School players should BCG look at/offer?

At UK I would want

Ricardo Johnson- I think he may be better suited for other programs, but he would be a big asset. He is athletic, a good defender and scorer, and seems to have a good head on his shoulders.

Justice- he doesn't seem very big, but I would take him running the Cats today over anyone they have.

Then a toss-up.... If scholarships were available.

Pittman if he can keep a good head on his shoulders. If he added an inch or two that would be even better.

Chad Jackson or Gelawn Guyn. Not both of them obviously, just which ever is deemed to fit the system better.

For the even younger players, I hope that Timmy Knipp can be the kind of player that would really benefit UK. He nees to add weight, become more assertive and improve his ball handling. Many think he will be a post in college, but to me his is a Wing player all the way. He can be really special the question is just, "when we he realize it"

Stenzel is a good player, but I haven't seen him enough to know if I would want him at UK.

Pittman ... big-time talent but needs to play hard all the time. He might be the best prospect in the state, but there are some questions about his commitment and work ethic. With some guys, the light comes on when they are seniors, and I hope it comes on for him next year.

Ricardo ... I'd like to see more of him before I make a judgment, but he's at least a good mid-major guard.

Justice ... has some talent but with his skill set, he's too small to be anything more than a low-major point guard. There is talk that Arkansas may offer him ... if I'm a Kentucky fan, I hope so.

Jackson ... I really like his game. At least a mid-major point guard, and I see in him a desire to win. He really seems to enjoy creating things for his teammates.

Guyn ... a nice talent, but he seems a bit selfish to me. He's a mid-major guard, and potentially a good one.

Knipp ... very intriguing prospect. In my mind, he has a better chance of becoming the player Dakotah Euton wants to be, that of a big-forward size player with wing skills.

Sanford ... a mid-major guard and a good one, potentially better. Has developed the outside shot to go with his handles. Makes everything look so easy.

Ge'lawn Guyn

Where is he playing now? I taught him in middle school and lost base when I moved away.

Right now Rico is probably the only one that I'd like to see UK recruit. I think he is a lot like Darius Miller and maybe even a better ball handler.

Pittman could be a good one but he needs to mature and get stronger physically. If he could do those two things I'd take him.

From what I have been told Pittman is heading to a JUCO, then possibly WVU. I like his talent but seems like a Huggins type kid.

I thnk that is probably about right. I actually think he could be a better college player than Darius. I think he has the type of game that could allow him to eventually be a teams go to guy.

Point guard from Lex. Cath is tough and I hear Georgetown is looking at him also. My friend said John Thompson, Jr. was at the state tournament.

I think he's a little quicker then Darius and a better ball handler. Darius although does have a couple inches on him. I'd rather take Ricardo because he plays a foot above the rim. He has NBA potential...just like Darius does. Now if someone can develop these players into what they can be is the question. But UK cant let any more in state players slide out of state or into some other school's lap (Mack, Slaughter, Pettigrew). One thing I will say though is Billy G can't be scared of this happening and go after every in-state player just because they're in state (Euton).

Sanford was not at all impressive vs. Holmes imo. As I stated earlier, UK can't start a trend to just go after in-state players because they are in-state. He's a OVC type player is you ask me imo.

I understand where you are coming from. But he did handle the pressure by Holmes and not turn the ball over. Just thought him and Johnson from Holmes are t only 2 that actually worth mentioning.

BCG should get the in-state players who can take that round orange thing and put it inside the round iron rim thing with the net dangling below it.

That's what he needs most.

I believe hes got a good skill set, but his biggest thing is hes gotta get stronger. I could see him being a great player a couple years down the road.

True but he did shoot the ball a lot and was pretty unsuccessful. He had to be the scorer for his team and couldn't do that with a future D1 player guarding him. Now I agree these were the only two players on the court that are worth mentioning.

From a role player to a Chris Lofton??? Lofton was starting his freshman year and was one of the best on the team then. Lofton really was the man on his team from the beginning and never really just a role player early on. So I dont see that comparison.

I was talking about Watts being a role player for two years. Then be one of the best shooters in the SEC by the time he is a Junior or Senior. 1st year or 2 he is going to have to be a role player.

Anybody know what high school G'lawn is playing at? Is he a Jr this year?
