What does 4A look like for 2009? What teams are going to be up? What teams are going to be down? What team may surprise some people?

Quite honestly, I expect Boyle County to once again be one of the top teams in 4A again with aspirations of finishing the job this time around. I for one am definitely looking forward to this upcoming season.

Me too.:thumb:

Greenup will be much improved this year, from their previous 3-8 record. They will make a solid showing in Distict play and any team who overlooks them will be seriously surprised!

Lawrence County is primed to have the biggest turn around in the state this year. They have gone from starting 2 Sr's to starting a team full of experience. This is the most talent they have had in almost 10 years. Schedule has gone from having Belfry, Russell, Pburg, Breathitt, Letcher too Paintsville, Shelby Valley, East Ridge and Winfield out of confrence. East Carter moves in too.

Coach Salmons has done a good job working on the youth, middle school etc. Ben Preston will be one of the strongest kids to ever graduate from LC and Tyler Combs has D1 potential as a Soph next year. They will anchor an experienced line. Shane Pack will probably come in around the 215 mark and is set to be one of the better suprises in Eastern KY. Shepard is as good of an athlete as there is around here. Mills (very underrated) and Bradely are as good of a duo at WR as there is in Eastern KY and Lucas Frazier around 6'4 at TE has 3 years of expereince. The RB position will probably be rounded out by M. Marcum who is solid as a rock and Hunter James who really came on strong at the end of the year.

On defense the Dogs bring back almost everybody. J. Miller should anchor the middle. T Obrian (wish every kid played as hard as him) and T. Mullett bring a lot of speed on the corners. C. Kazzee + C. Cyrus should bring pressure up front.

I think this is the year the dogs get back on track. The kids have worked theri tails off and Coach Salmons has worked hard on the overall program. I'm not saying they are Bell, Boyle or Lex Cath but I do think they are primed to be the biggest turnaround in the state.

There is an awesome group of kids in there right now and I hope the folks in Louisa appreciate the work and dedication that has gone on behind the scenes with the coaches and players trying to get things on track!

I look for Lawrence County to be a lot better this year. I expected a lot from them two years ago, but that didn't happen, last year I didn't expect a whole lot. But, this year I expect them to be pretty strong.

And, yes stick, Tyler Combs will be a D1 recruit. He has unlimited possibilities.

McCreary will be a much improved team. They have had a great off season and return 100% of their skilled people. They will be a team that will bring it to people. They have stepped-up their out of district schedule and continue to build their program. I think they will return to the post season and will have a shot at a better seed this year!

They still have the same coach don't they? I think they will be much improved also especially since they still have Watts.

Same coaching staff!

How many starters return for Knox Central?

I think Bell, Boyle, and LexCath will be the 3 best teams atleast going into the season.

Allen County returns just about all of their top players ... they should be the favorite on the west side.

They lost alot I think they had 13 seniors or something like that. They will still have a good team.

I think it'll be hard for KC to contend. Both times I watched them play last year, Smith I beleive is his name, the QB, was the heart and sole of that teams and it was big play after big play comming from him. and if I'm thinking right he graduated. Big time loss.

I look for Bell Co. to be back on top of class, with Boyle Co. not far behind them.
