Why would past players be interested in raising money? That could be a hard sell. Wouldn't it be easier to start with the current players and current players familes? Is there still a Bellevue Boosters? I know when I played, they helped us tons!

 

If your a past player at any school and you can't understand why you should have enough school spirit to help out future players then it is probably beyond me to try to explain it to you. My guess is you didn't get most school spirit your senior year?:ohbrother::puke::confused:

Exactly, past NewCath athletes raised and contributed quite a bit to finance the rennovations and additions going on there.

Who has been added/dropped from the schedule to make it tougher?

Dropped - Bracken, Gallatin, Paris, NCC

Added - Holy Cross, Holmes, Scott, Walton (district)

Still play out of district with Newport and Lloyd

Interesting to drop NCC and pick up Holy Cross.........................I mean of you are going to play a Catholic school from the 2A division NCC is a much more natural rival. Bracken is bad so that is a good drop.........Didn't Gallatin beat them last year?

 

Holmes is a head scratcher......................Although a much better game than Paris........

I suppose there's always the possibility that NewCath dropped Bellevue...? But Holmes, geez, that should be an awfully tough game for the likes of Bellevue. Good for them for taking on a challenge though.

From what I saw on the web, Bellevue scrimmages Carroll Co. at Ryle next friday @ 5 or 6. They play HC on week 0 so no 2nd scrimmage.

 

I think Bellevue has definitely improved their schedule this year and from what I am hearing the team should be up to the challenges

My guess is the NCC was a hold over from when NCC was 1A. Now that Bellevue doesn't have to play them, they replaced that game with a bigger school they think they have a better chance of beating.

From the kids I've talked to DJ Slater (The Slatinator) has look real good so far in practice. The kids are real impressed with how far he has come.

Who is going to be their Qb this year?
