Ok thats before alot of coaching changes thats why.

I think this is a recent trend...Lloyd losing players to other schools. Why did this start happening?

 

 

Lloyd needs to utilize it's Outreach and Admissions Department more efficiently....Show the youth league Players and Coaches some LOVE, and less players will attend other high schools.....:thumb:

I believe that Conner and Cooper will be on the schedule next year. I don't think they are dropping Ludlow.

 

Also that has nothing to do with the Yeagle thing.

 

I don't believe Lloyd is on Ludlow's schedule so I hope Ludlow isn't on Lloyd's I'm not for sure but last I heard the Ludlow Lloyd game is not happening this year. Unfortunate because I like watching Scott Dunn play against his old mates.

I don't know what you are use to but Lloyd doesn't have one.:lol:Also I know that Lloyd has tried but they want know part of it.:isurrender:IMO there needs to be an entire change in the staff and everyone who heads the Erlanger Lions. It has changed for the worse in the last 10 years. I'm tired of seeing my almamater suffer because its feeder program is starving them! The Lions need to feed Lloyd NOT Beechwood NOT Cov Cath NO ONE else but Lloyd! They have their own feeder programs!:irked::irked: I'm very passionate about this subject if you can't tell.

I understand your passion for your alma matter....Does Lloyd have any control over who coaches and operates their youth league? This was an issue with the Covington Bengal Tigers in 2001, when several playmakers went to another school in the NKY area.:sssh:

Unfortunately not! :madman: The Erlanger Lions believe they should have more control over at Lloyd.:idunno:

I am really shocked at what I have been reading on this post. I could really blast alot of people on here but I will be civil at this point. To say that the Lions coaches are sending kids to other schools is appauling to me. I have been in this program for 25 plus years, I have had the best people working with me and for me over these 25 years. Thanks Sandman for your comments. I have worked very close with Lloyd and have been involved as a coach and scout for those 25 years. I have pushed all of our coaches push our kids to go to Lloyd. What people do not understand is that we have Erlanger/Elsmere School District and on the east side of town the kids go to Dixie, Scott and Simon Kenton. Lately our teams consist of these kids along with ST Henry and some Boone County Kids. In the past several years the kids that go to Tichenor have not been comming out for our Football Program. As for firing our Senior Coaching Staff is again appauling to me as eveyone of those coaches played for me except for one or two of them. As for the kids that have gone to Beechwood this past year if you want to PM me I can explain. All I can say is that volunteer's are hard to find and I appreciate everyone that has coached with me or for me. I can assure you if the Lloyd coaching staff would come and talk with our kids they would understand that Lions Football and Lloyd High School have a good relationship. Sorry for rambeling on I just had to speak my mine long live Erlanger Lions Football and Lloyd High School Football, spoken by a true "JUGGERNAUT" long live Erlanger. JD

Thanks for jumping in on this Mr. Dunhoft. As I have stated several times throughout this thread, I just find it hard to believe Lions coaches would push kids away from Lloyd. I am not close to either program so I don't have any insight about who and how many Lions players are going to schools other than Lloyd. However, I would guess you could go through the ranks of the NKYFL and you would find that several of those programs feed multiple high schools. With the schools all so close to each other plus the private schools mixed in, I don't think you should expect every Lions player to go to Lloyd. If it seems like there are more than the usual number of Lions players going somewhere other than Lloyd, my guess is the problem is at Lloyd and not with the Lions.

We at the Lions can not tell the parent's where to send their children. The one's that left had their reason's and I have no problem if a parent chooses to send their kids elsewhere. Yes I would have loved to see these players go to Lloyd and continue their careers there. As for other organizations yes they all have the player's that will go to CovCath, Beechwood, Scott, Simon, Dixie, New Cath and Highlands. I can only wish them the best. As for Lloyd and the future it is up to the Athelectic Direcotor, coaches and boosters to move forward. I wish them well. JD
