Anyone denying what LCA brings to the table would be unwise. They'd probably beat several small college teams with their talent. Heck, D-train wears UK pants to scrimmage in!!!!!!!

Lexington Christian has a very nice program. I think they have some excellent players and they are well coached. I look for them to make a strong run this season to win the schools first state football title.

Question for the LCA faithful - will anything less than a state championship be disappointing? This group of seniors have some serious talent and have experienced great success ... but they have yet to get that championship. If it doesn't happen this year, will this successful group possibly be considered under achievers?

I know I was a little exaggerated, but trying to beat the point home that they are the overwhelming favorite in 1A. I am a Raceland fan, so don't think I am a LCA fan, just voicing my opinion.

LCA is the overwhelming favorite in 1A? I guess we'll have to see how the season plays out. I know Beechwood lost some very talented players, but I'm not about to doubt them and say they aren't still the top dog.

Just going by what the article said: Baker & Fairchild (linemen) & Hayden (linebacker). You probably have inside info, and so I will defer to your assessment.

 

Whether it's 2 or 3, it's nice to know that we have the depth to rest so many players. (a FAR cry from the days of 18-20 kids on the entire team)

Watch Beechwood's first two games - 5A Dixie and then Highlands. If they beat Dixie and stay within 3 TD's of Highlands, then I will agree with you that Beechwood is still the team to beat. But if I am doing a preseason poll, LCA is #1. Beechwood is replacing virtually their whole offense including both their lines and LCA is bringing back a lot of talent.
