Hats off to the leaders of the 12th Region and those at Lincoln County, they put on a great tournament. Several have said the atmosphere of the games the last 2 nights have been the best they have ever been apart of. Curious to know the attendance numbers, heard it was standing room only the last 2 nights

The crowd last night was the second biggest I have ever seen there. First being the Lincoln County/Boyle County Championship game in 2007.

Nothing can compare to the atmosphere of the North/South 12th Region final at Pulaski County in 2001. Sorry. The gym was packed with blue and green on one side and red and black on the other. It reminded me of the old UK/IU games played at the Hoosier Dome.

Was that the game where South blew North out of the gym? If so, those two had a alot of talent. What ever happen to the Dillon (sp?) kid from North? I know he went to Arizona, but never heard anything else from him.

Congrats to West Jessamine. Polson is a stud and yes, I think it could be McCreary and West in the finals next year also.

I'm not going to say that officating cost McCreary this game, but being down by one with thirty seconds left, Watts was mauled by four Colt players in the paint not once, but twice after getting his offensive rebound.

 

McCreary was complacent on shooting threes and passing all game and was behind my seven and eight points the entire contest before they used the paint. Roark and Schrock both fouled out for the Raiders.

 

McCreary pressed in the fourth, but three consecutive times lost the fifth Jessamine player for an easy layup.

 

Better luck next year, Raiders. Good luck to West Jessamine.

I think they won the 11th Region in 1990.

Sounds like a heck of a finish. I got a text that said the score was 28-21 late in the 3rd and I was trying to figure out what was going on.

 

I hate that the officiating will leave a bad taste in some people's mouth.

Same refs. They were very good in the Lincoln/McCreary game but there were some questionable block calls on McCreary when Polson drove the lane. But what can you do? McCreary should have played like they have been from start to finish and they didn't. They beat themselves, with a lot of help from Jessamine. Polson didn't get anything at will like he did the last few games, but they were just very patient.
