It's comments like this that make people outside of Mason root against you. Why would you care if they have a parade or not. They might have had a parade when they beat Mason County by about 15 earlier this year.:clap:

I don't see anything wrong with the community supporting the kids and showing appreciation for them. I am sure the kids enjoyed it and isn't that what it is supposed to be all about, the kids :sssh:?

I also saw an interview on our late/local new with the Faulkner kid (I believe he was the one) after the game. I don't know if these Elliot kids can win it all or not but I can tell you they are focused. Faulkner stated in the interview when ask about the regional title and the "celebration"......"It is great to win another region title to make it three in a row. That is not our complete goal though, after going to Rupp for now a third straight year anything lesss than winning the state championship would make it a disspointing season". Those may not be the exact words he used but it is pretty close. Elliot Co. players certainly seem focused and they were saying the same things after winning their district again. These kids imo are not satisfied with the 16th region championship.

So, that's my opinion from a outsider to the Elliot program but this next week I am an Elliot Co. fan and I would hope that everyone in the 16th region will be. GO Lions!!! Bring home a State Championship to Sandy Hook!

The Daily Independent names a year-end Coach of the Year.

 

Yes they do but the KABC is the one voted on by the coaches and given out during the state tournament with the player of the year from each region. I think they recognize these winners at halftime of the 2nd game on Friday night.

Congratulations to Elliott County!!!!!! I am very proud of what you guys have accomplished. I got to meet Dale Ferguson, KNOW IT ALL and Lion Mania at the game. Great guys and a great atmosphere for basketball last night. I have even been bestowed as an honorary Lion [/b]for assisting the sprained ankle of Timmy Knipp. Elliott County is a class act and great boys! Good luck in Rupp.

Doc I believe that we are all Elliot Co. fans this week. I am keeping and will never give up my Raceland Orange and Black but I will say that for this week coming up in Rupp my Orange will have a EC Maroon shade to it!
