I read the all tourney team for the region. Granted, the 4 from EC are well deserving (goes without saying), but these things are usually balanced depending upon how far each team reached. It was a little surprising that Bath Co. put 2 on it & Ashland only got one. I would have figured Skaggs or Johnson would have been on it.

Oh, well...........best of luck to EC.

Doc I believe that we are all Elliot Co. fans this week. I am keeping and will never give up my Raceland Orange and Black but I will say that for this week coming up in Rupp my Orange will have a EC Maroon shade to it!

 

So, from this Raceland fan......GO Elliot County, stay focused and as sidelindoc would say..."TCB" next week in Rupp!!!

Congrats to the Lewis Co. Lions on a great season. Im pretty sure you overachieved everybodys expectations for this year. You made a great run when it counted, and accomplished something never done before in school history. Way to go Coach Hampton and the rest of the Lions coaching staff. We were able to beat Elliott Co. in one thing, our student section was much larger and louder. The rest of there fans are hard to beat though.

 

And congrats to Elliott Co. on the 3-peat. You were head and shoulders above everyone in the 16th region and you proved it by winning each regional tournament game by a large margin. IMO, they shouldve had 5 players named to the all-region team if they want to put the best players on the team. I know you'll represent the 16th well. Im hoping you will at least be able to take home a net this post-season.

Any truth to the fact that EC was eating lollipops and playing with cell phones on the bench prior to the end of the games? I heard it was bad the other night against Ashland.

Where did they play Anderson last?

 

I don't know either way, but I'll say that its highly unlikely that this is true. The 5th graders on the end of the bench may have possibly been eating lollipops during the game, but I would highly doubt any of the players doing this. Again, I don't know either way for fact.

I would hope that rumors are not being started because it was hard to distinguish EC's fab 5 from EC's 5th graders.:irked:

I believe you are getting info about their seemingly uninspired victory. An outsider has probably exaggerated a bit, and totally came to the wrong conclusion.

 

Elliott County played hard, but treated the victory as business as usual. Winning the 16th was not near their primary goal and they did not show a lot of enthusiasm.

 

I can see how an outsider could portray this to you as overlooking an opponent and going through the motions due to overconfidence.
