Congrats to Elliot County and the community of Sandy Hook on a three peat 16th Regional Championship :thumb::thumb::thumb:. Four title games in four years for this group of Elliot Seniors and three championships (and imo should and could have been 4 straight) and nothing else needs to be said. This group of kids are a "once in a lifetime" type team and I am sure they will be remembered forever in Sandy Hook. Lions, you have set several 16th regional records I believe and you deserved it. You have made the 16th region and especially all small (class A) schools proud.

I hope that you are cutting the nets down and celebrating...................next Saturday night in Lexington. :ylsuper:

Elliott takes care of business as usual. Ethan Faulkner wins defensive award and MVP for third straight year. Evan, Ferguson and Chris Knipp make all torney team as well. Thompson, Riley and Lewis point guard, Metz, Maze,Webb and Collins also all-tourney. Ferguson and Ethan with double doubles. Thompson from Lewis with 28 and around 17 rebounds. The game never in doubt. Elliott up 20 at half and 30 two minutes into third quarter. Lewis County did not quit and their run through the tournaments was excellent. A very improved team from early in the year. Congrats to both teams.

I was very impressed by the crowd tonight. First time this year I have seen a team bring more fans than EC. Congratulations to both teams on a great season. EC good luck at the state tournament.

I agree. I think they are trying to make the statement that they are not going to settle with a regional title. And our crowd was calm tonight as well, compared to two years ago when we were the ones going nuts in the championship game. I hate we lost that fire for the district and regional tournaments, but Ill guarentee us Elliott County faithful will be back in form at Rupp. :thumb:

Congrats to Lewis, I remember when we made the finals when our boys were freshmen and lost to Russell. It was such a great feeling and even though we lost we were so proud of our boys for taking us places we had never been, just as Lewis did for their fans tonight.

Great job Elliott. I skipped out on the parade. Great to be back at Rupp. Just like last season, you have the opportunity to redeem yourself from a previous game (the Anderson Co. game wasn't your best 1st half showing).

You should be proud. Lewis Co. gave a great showing, your Lewis Co. coaches, team and fans were a class act in the 63rd district at Raceland and have posted with respect throughout the districts and 16th regional tournaments. :thumb:

Congrats to Elliott County, you are truly by far the best team in the 16th region. The one thing I wanted to say is it was a very classless act by the PA announcer at the beginning of the game to announce Elliott County would be playing the winners of the 61st district Bath County. How in the world could you be qualified to announce a game and not know who was playing. This was totally disrespectful to the players and the fans of Lewis County.
