The people in Barbourville are telling me that the younger Canady will be in the mix at RB this year and they are expecting huge things from him.

 

 

What kind of size does Jeffrey Canady have? I have not seen the young man in a couple of years and he was approaching 6 the last time I saw him.

Looking forward to the season getting started against Knox Central. Somerset returns almost the entire team from last year and are looking good so far in practice. I don't know what Knox Central returns but this game will be good. I watched Knox last year against Pulaski (yes you guys got ROBBED with capital letters) and was very impressed with the team.

I will say this will be a good matchup. And by the way I believe that Somerset is a 3A team Bubba Wilson.

His uncle said, he is about 6'1 and 180-freshmen-will play WR-DB on the varsity.

Williamsburg and Somerset will be tough, although they are smaller class size. They both has size and speed that dwarfs Knox Central. Knox Central should win but just letting you know what those two have coming back.

 

More size than Central? Heck they have 1 Tackle that is bigger than the town of Williamsburg. Gambrell I think is his name 6'6" 360.

Well sounds like the Burg better stay home for this one LOL...I look for KC to win this one but it will not come easy...The size of the line will not decide this one IMO...

I recall one year during the dark days at KC when our line averaged over 425 pounds. If by some miracle they got into a stance it took two plays for them to get out of it. Honestly though, it is supposed to be the strengh of this years team.

 

By the way, I don't think those are KC fans predicting the easy wins. I think Bojangel is South Laurel. Not sure yet about the new guy. KC fans know how tough Somerset has been over the years and have not forgotten the speed and athletes they always have. Williamsburg will be a good test for Central's most inexperienced group, the defensive backs and receivers. I look forward to both games as a measuring stick.

Hey Pepper, your right I am from London, and have a kid playing for S.L..I played for the Panthers years ago..back in the Darlen days...we went over to the 4-H and watch K.C.--they looked good from what I could tell..I know they are young and will be tested every game...tell me who is and will look good for them this year...I saw the Line very Big and tough--also some very nice backs and recievers...give me some names to look for..Cardinal for now--Panther forever.....
