I think the Birds have to win this one in the paint. They create a lot of matchup problems with St. Henry down low with Grubbs. But they have to play defense, you can't let this St. Henry team get hot shooting the ball.

Don't get too down on the Birds for a 20+ point loss to NCC. Better then than now! NCC had a "perfect storm" of 3-point shooting. Hats off to them and good luck in the tourney. St. Henry will have to replicate such shooting to stay with the Birds. I look for the perimeter defense to be more aggressive and all Birds bashing the boards. Elmer is a "wily wascal" but Willie will have the Birds "full attention" this week! Highlands by 7.

This will be a great game. Question for anyone I saw Zumdick has a hand or wrist problem does anyone know what happened to him? He will have to play big in this game for St. Henry to win. Also heard Volz got hurt in the Dixie game any status on him. If I have to take anyone in this one I got to say Highlands becasue it seems St. Henry is a little beat up right now. If Zumdick and Volz are ok then I might change my mind on this one.

I like Highlands by 4.

Highlands 55-49.

The Birds will capitalize on their speed in the big arena.

Birds by 10.

How deep does St. H go on their bench? Highlands typically plays 7-8?

I was just looking at Highlands' roster... Do they really not have one senior? If so, that is amazing. They will be one hell of a team next year. They will win this game in a nail-biter...

Pretty deep team. Usaully 9-10 deep but at times they can go 11. If I had to guess I would say my list below is in order of minutes, bolded players are seniors.

Speed

Zumdick

Swikert

Anderson

Bessler

Hils

Volz

Eisenmenger

Beiting

Dault

Cooper

NKBOY1487 do the Crusaders only carry 3 juniors at least I am assuming the 3 mentioned players other than the seniors are Juniors? If so better win now becasue next year might not be to good.

There is one or two Sophmores on the varsity roster that don't see much time. Not sure what the JV breakdown is but I know that there are a few juniors there.

Hils, Anderson, Bessler will be the best returners.

These two teams match up fairly well. Highlands won early in the season by 10 or so. Seems like Highlands is still favored after losing by 20 in the district final to NCC, while St. Henry is still getting over looked just like Faust likes it.

St. Henry 55

Highlands 50

I think you are focusing too much on the NCC loss for the Birds. They played at NCC, the Breds have seniors who would not be denied on their home floor. They got hotter than a firecracker in that 3rd qtr and it wouldnt have mattered if it were Holmes they were playing, those are the type of runs that will bury any team.

I am not saying it will be a laydown for Highlands but what signature wins does St. Henry have this year?

I'll take St. Henry by 1.

Highlands looked great on the BOK Arena floor in the Bluegrass-Buckeye Challenge. I look for Kowolonek to have a huge night against the Cru. This should be a fun game. Wide open and full throttle. I'll take the Birds by 7.
