March 1, 200917 yr Here is a link to what the UK sheet would look like right now in the selection room. You can pull up the same for every other D1 team to compare if you like... http://www.bbstate.com/schools/UK/sheet
March 1, 200917 yr Please someone explain to me how Florida is even in the discussion... SEC should get three teams in tops...
March 1, 200917 yr Avg RPI win 171. That hurts... That's my only problem w/ the current staff right now. Everyine knows how to beef up their strength of schedule and they didn't follow that path. You can't schedule teams in the bottom 100 of the RPI and expecet a top rated schedule.

UC knew they were going to get enough tough games and they were young, but I agree. What's hurting UC the most IMO is they don't have any signature wins and haven't fared well against the top 25.

March 1, 200917 yr Author Is that a big factor? While not huge it is something they do look at when nitpicking for the final few spots. Basically it's how they can be left out even with 20 or 21 wins...

You can't schedule teams in the bottom 100 of the RPI and expecet a top rated schedule. If they had, indeed, beefed up their schedule, we would not even be having a discussion regarding post season play. If their schedule were beefed up any more, I seriously doubt that UK would have a winning record
March 1, 200917 yr Kentucky more than likely now needs to win the SEC tourney to get in and of course that being an automatic. May be able to squeak in by winning the next two then picking up a couple in the tourney with one preferrably being against LSU.
March 1, 200917 yr If Ky can get 3rd in East it would mean Arkansas then probably Auburn, which both could be wins. 4th in East puts us against Bama, Miss St then LSU. 2 wins in tourney would help us some to get in.
