March 1, 200917 yr Kentucky more than likely now needs to win the SEC tourney to get in and of course that being an automatic. May be able to squeak in by winning the next two then picking up a couple in the tourney with one preferrably being against LSU. Win the next two plus one win in the conference tourney will be enough. I can't see them winning at UF right now though.
March 1, 200917 yr Kentucky has come so close to some big wins. The Louisville game, the LSU game, the Miami game & the 1st South Carolina game come to mind. You've got a last second 3 from deep, another late 3 to win, just a loss, and then missed free throws. I realize when you're on the bubble there's no such thing as a quality loss. It just makes me shake my head and wonder what could've been. FWIW, I think Kentucky gets in. If for nothing else, than for the fact that we're Kentucky. And, as GT is dying to point out, the SEC Commish is the head of the selection committee.
March 2, 200917 yr Lunardi's that was updated today has them as a 10. http://sports.espn.go.com/ncb/bracketology
March 2, 200917 yr They should get in over teams like Georgetown and Notre Dame which some think are going to get in dispite very bad conference records.
March 2, 200917 yr Something that really hurt UK is scheduling 4 or 5 teams that were absolutely at the bottom of the RPI ratings. UK doesn't need to do that anymore. They need to schedule smarter, because those teams really negate playing teams like UNC and UL.
March 2, 200917 yr UT's win over Florida has them back in the top 25 RPI. They're sitting at 21 with a game at SC and home vs Bama.
March 2, 200917 yr UK needs to beat Georgia and Florida to be a lock. That would make them the #3 team from the SEC after LSU and South Carolina, with UT an UF on the bubble. A surprise team winning the tourney could upset the apple cart though.
