Do the Reds play today? who? what time?

See post #1. I'm not sure about the time.

Thanks! I hope Owings will put on a good showing.

Twins @ Reds in Sarasota. 1:05. Micah Owings is on the hill.

All very good arguments. But the Brewers are going to win the division

I think the Brewers will be tough as well; however, they don't have Ben Sheets and they don't have CC Sabathia, who single handedly carried them late last season.

I'm excited about the Reds because, for the 1st time in a long time, we have the pitching to compete with the big boys.

GO RED LEGS!!

Now, having said that I hope that a spring training track the Reds thread doesn't just put an earlier start to extending the misery and disgust of what for years has been the Cincinnatti Reds baseball season.

I hope they can break out of it and do something, am a Reds fan and always have been and always will be but I will say the same thing as I have the last few years on the "outlook" for the Reds......Talk is cheap! I want to see results and I don't mean another "we are almost there, we are in a building process or any other chicken excuse" I want to win!

I believe that Reds fans are loyal and will continue to be but I also believe the fans deserve a winner on the field, not just in a pre season presser. Talking doesn't win baseball games, results on the field does.

I'd be happy if this team wins 80 baseball games and the young guys show progress. This win now philosophy is what set us back when the new regime first got in. They now finally have a plan in place and are executing it. I am very excited about the future which is more than I can ever say as a Reds fan.

Reds lose 10-4, but Owings throws 3 scoreless innings. Tomorrow 1:05 vs. Phillies.

It is good to see Owings throw 3 scoreless. If he, Thompson, Maloney, or Bailey can step up as the 5th starter this team could be tough.

Personally, I'm pulling for Owings just because he can hit.

CoCo Cordero struggled today, as did Arthur Rhodes. It's still early though.

Next game: Phillies @ Reds, 1:05 tomorrow.

Bronson is on the mound.

It is good to see Owings have a nice spring debut. I'm rooting for Baily though, because I still think he has the potential to be dominant. Owings would be a nice guy to have available in the pen, and you wouldn't have to worry about making a double switch when you bring him into the game.

:ohbrother:Yep. They will not win the division.

I can only hope they do. Just get me 85 wins, I would be happy then.

How is Alonso doing? Is he in the picture for 09?

Not unless he hits .900 with 10 bombs and 20 RBI's.

Look forward to watching some ST games.
