UGA athletics director Damon Evans doesn’t appear to be happy with Tennesee coach Lane Kiffin and his criticism of Georgia football.

 

Evans was asked about Kiffin’s comments about UGA’s recruiting efforts by the Macon Telegraph’s David Hale on Wednesday.

 

“We have a guy [Mark Richt] leading us who has a high level of integrity and we’re in a place where we don’t need to cheat to have success here …” Evans said.

 

Quick recap: Lane Kiffin said the grandmother of wide receiver Marlon Brown of Memphis prevented him from signing with Tennessee over Georgia. Kiffin also “denigrated UGA’s recruiting efforts in its home state” on a radio show, according to Rivals.

 

When Richt was asked by the AJC last week if he had a “direct response” to Kiffin’s remarks, Richt said “No thank you.”

Kiffin is a jerk. I guess the guy doesn't realize that his team is going to be the bottom feeder in the East this year. UGA, UF, USC, & UK are all every bit as talented as them this coming season. UT is going to be searching for a new coach again sooner rather than later IMO.

Mark Richt, one of the classiest coaches in the nation. Nice no response to a complete jerk in Kiffen.

UT's faithful will only put up with this if he wins. He is giving himself a very short leash.

I never thought there would be a person alive who could make Al Davis look sane, but Kiffin has accomplished this with each passing day.

I'm interested to see how he does. I don't agree with all of the comments & accusations he's making on a personal or professional level; however, sometimes that type of arrogance can make for one heck of a football coach.

 

I think a picture of his wife would make this thread much better.

As a Gator fan hope coach keeps on making foolish remarks. Georgia and Florida are not two teams to keep picking on unless you have the talent to back it up. Not a Tennessee fan anyway hope they lose them all.

I agree, like I had said before, Davis is crazy but he is not stupid!

 

I also heard that Kiffin followed all of these incidents up with a statement that went something like..... "UGA,U.F.,Bama or anyone else for that matter are not going to win games for us. I frankly don't care what anyone thinks of me".

With this kind of arrogance and stupidity I believe that should it continue then he just might care pretty soon.:sssh::lol:

Get over it Lane he didn't wanna go to UT.

He will make it easy for coaches to run up the score on him. Right now he has ticked off Urban, the ole ball coach,and Richt. Looks like Saban and Myles are next.
