I don't it even holds that much. But McCreary plays very well on offense and shoots the lights out in that building.

 

1400 is what the gym is suppose to hold. Don't see it but I still think with the way McCreary is playing they finally get pass SW by 7.:banana:

My coins are on McCreary Co. They hit a rough spot there a couple of weeks ago but I beleive they have played out of that. With that said there does appear to be a lot of parity in the region this year with no clear front runner.

I wish the rotation were still in play, but...

 

If forced, I would prefer the boys play at Pulaski every year, just because it's a better gym and offers better seating all-around.

I agree with the rotation part. This is really the only fair way to do it. But, the Pulaski and Lincoln rotation is better than just Pulaski. Yes, Pulaski has a better overall gym but Lincoln is a lot shorter of a drive for Garrard, Jessamine schools, Mercer, Burgin, Boyle and Danville. It seems only fair to totate it between south and north.

Lincoln has had the best team the last 2 years in the 12th region... PERIOD + Jeff Jackson is the best coach in the 12th.

Agreed. By the way, the current rotation of alternating boys and girls tournaments between Lincoln and Pulaski was renewed last fall and now runs through 2013.

I wouldn't mind seeing the district's pick their site.

This would guarantee north/south/north/south rotation every year, but gives you a close-to-home tournament once every four years, and a far-from-home tournament once every four years.

Too creative. Pulaski is the only gym where you never have to worry about fans getting shut out, so the boys should play there every year. But the current arrangement isn't horrible. And the ADs like it the way it is, so it isn't changing for a while.

That is how it was done before the current arrangement. I think the main reason for the change was because of the central location of Lincoln and Pulaski. It would be a long and late getting home trip if you lived on one end.(Mercer, Jessamine Co's) and played the late game on the other end (McCreary, Wayne)

I know they've done some split sessions before. They did at South Laurel in 2004. I'm pretty sure they split sessions at Danville (1995), Southwestern (1996) and Casey County (1997). Might have done so at Russell County in 2002. It's definitely been an on-and-off thing.
