Fleming played a very rough, physical game. During the 1st half, there was an intensional (IMO) foul where one of the Elliott boys was slung around and the officials and players had to step between the two players involved. No technical was called!! But in the 2nd half, Ferg made a really good basket and showed some emotion and the "T" IMMEDIATELY was called against him. IMO, that was a horrible call on both of these. The first was intensional (the slinging occurred after the whistle and the ball was dead) but nothing was called. The second, was a kid expressing some emotion. These boys are emotionally vested in each and every game, but they are expected to maintain a flat affect throughout their race.

 

With all that said . . . good win Elliott!!!

 

Senior night was a sad!!:cry: There were so many of us on the floor that we had to make 2 lines! Graduation will be like a county wide funeral.

Was very rough play from Fleming with many of the fouls appearing intentional (maybe they didn't know that Elliott Co. doesn't play football), really glad no one was seriously injured. Anyone have stats?

Sad Senior night, Rough Physical game. Ferg has had a number of T's called on him in the last couple of years when he shows some emotion. It's just not fair. Others show emotion, frustration and get nothing called. There were plenty of better opportunities to throw the "T" tonight, this was just not it. I'm sure all the boys will be sore tomorrow from the rough physical play, but they are a pretty resilient bunch. Good Luck agains Ballard and be ready to play. It was good to Cody Nickell in the audience and this the day after surgery. We wish you a speedy and complete recovery. Give credit to Fleming, they didn't quit even though they were down by 10, 20, 30, 40!!!! They kept coming at us.

Yes--Fleming was very physical with some take downs, hard fouls, and several elbows. Actually Fleming has some talent, but don't seem to get the mileage out of it. Very poor record at 9-14 and look like a much better team than that. Ferg's technical was on a drive to the hoop where he powered it in. Yes he showed some emotion because he got gang tackled the play before and no call was made. Evan has been on fire from three point range the last few games and is just drilling them. Timmy did have 2 big monster dunks. One on a alley oop pass and the other one he drove the baseline and just rared back and slammed it hard. Timmy also was shooting well from beyond the arc. EC moves to 23-2 and 15-0 in the region.

 

Ballard along with the television crews roll into Sandy Hook Saturday evening.

Should be an intense and state tournament atmosphere game with a packed house on hand. As the ring announcer would say, "Let's get ready to rumble".

Another losing season for Fleming County. I honestly cant understand why the adnimistration puts up with losing year after year. Fleming has alot of talent and players underachieving just wont cut it. This all falls into the head coaches lap. Its time for a change. Im not saying they would beat Elliott with a different coach cause Elliott is really good. This is 3 years in a row Fleming has had a losing record with this guy. When he was hired,evryone talked about his credentials and what a great coach he is.

He made a driving basket through traffic and yelled after the score. He didn't yell at anyone, just a yell. This happens all the time.
