Smokehouse is very good. The Kegger in Fulton makes some great ribs.(Are they Still Open?) Bootleg is becoming my favorite around Louisville. Marks Feed Store in L-Ville ain't bad either. I love me some Bar-B-Q. Let me know where this fat boy should go to try some new "Q". You missed it, the ansew is "my home"...

I drove past George's on the way out of Owensboro and not sure if that establishment is still open... but the locals said that was a great place in the day! Tonight the family went to Walt's Hitching Post in N Kentucky. While we had a great time with the boys and the food was excellent... I am leaning to Moonlight as the best I have had in Kentucky. I am just getting started on this quest. :thumb:

February 14, 200917 yr This really depends on what "style" of BBQ you like. To me, none really call my name, though when fixing a BBQ style meal, be it baby backs, brisket, or pork shoulder, I tend to do a Memphis style more than anything else. Mmmm Brisket, my favorite!

From time to time, their called upon to cater the media hospitality room at the Northern Kentucky University games. I always LOVE LOVE LOVE it when they bring brisket and corn pudding and green beans and banana pudding. YUM-OOOO! February 14, 200917 yr Not sure about Kentucky but the best I have tasted is the Carolina Smokehouse in Cashiers North Carolina near Saphire Valley. It is pretty much a hole in the wall place with a mountain feel. It's about a 45 min ride up the mountain from Western Carolina University.:thumb:
February 14, 200917 yr Boot Leg out side Mt. Washington is real good. Nice menu/sides/moon pies. Wings are special. Riblets can be a little rough, but they give you a bunch in a box. Holidays you are gonna wait.

Holidays you are gonna wait. The wings must be ordered 3 hour in advance. Well worth it. They are the best you will have. By the way, the ribs are just about off the smoker.....That apple wood is smelling SWEEEEETTTTT!!!!!!!!!!! :thumb:
