Not really. A raise you would have to pay taxes on which means you would only get about 20 cents of your 33.

 

This is 33 cents per hour less taxes on your current income and you get to keep it all.

 

So you can really party hard. :dancingpa

So, if you work for 4 hours, you can get a Snickers Bar, and if you work for 5 hours, you can get a super-sized Snickers Bar. With the other 3-4 hours in the day you could by a Coke in the red can.

 

That's a pretty good trade, $Trillion is borrowings from the Chinese in exchange for my extra super-sized Snickers and Coke each day!

Actually that is what I tell (and have told) people who think taxes should be raised because the government can help the poor better than we can. :jump:

 

Anyone complaining about this (other than on the grounds that this bill is bad for the economy in the long-run) should be ashamed. You have to be unbelievably politically polarized to complain about getting more money.

I'm not politically polarized, but I do think that $13 a week is like peeing in the ocean and it isn't going to help stimulate the economy.
