Augusta 64 Bishop Brossart 61

What is up with the Mustangs lately? They just haven't seemed to be playing good ball lately. They dropped the ball in the All "A" and now it seems there woes are continuing.

Ooohhhh!

Didn't get to go to the game because of the district freshmen championship game.

First of all - Congratulations to Coach Robin Kelsch and Augusta. This had to be a huge win for he and his Panthers.

I realize that we are pretty banged up, but had hoped we'd take care of business in A-Town and move on to a key conference game with St. Henry on Friday.

Details?????

Brossart loses to Augusta and Deming in the same year, isn't that one of the signs of the apocolypse?

Classic!!

Great job Coach Kelsch and the Augusta basketball team!!! That is a great way to bounce back from some tough losses!!

Brossart could be in trouble against St. Henry.

Maybe so, but I'm guessing that they are much more concerned with the likes of Campbell County and Scott.

Heard them announce this result (well, not exactly; they announced that Augusta had won by 3 but didn't know the exact score) at the Bracken-St. Pat game tonight. Congrats to Coach Kelsch and the Panthers.

I think that Brossart has shown this season that we can compete with anyone on a given night, and/or lose to anyone on a given night. The structure of this particular team is fragile, and with Drew Kremer AND Brian Wolfer out, we become somewhat thin on the depth chart, especially in the rebouding, big man defense, arenas.

Augusta scored 64 points tonight - 11 more than anyone else on our schedule this season, and the most points given up by the Mustangs since Janaury 11th, 2008 in a loss to Scott. You go play for 32 minutes, doing your best on both ends of the court, and tonight the defensive magic obviously wasn't there, or the Augusta Panthers had improved enough since our last outing to exploit it.

I think that we will be adequately focused for St. Henry on Friday night.

Congratulations again to Coach Kelsch and his Panthers. Beating Brossart has to be discussion material for the post-season awards night.

Holmes lost to Boone County tonight and the boys from Sandy Hook laid it on the Mason County Royals, so maybe the stars weren't aligned for the big chalks today - or maybe we simply got out-played.

Big win for Augusta. If you're an Augusta fan on this night, you are in for a party. If you are a Brossart fan, well, it's hard to swallow this one. Things have been rough for the Mustangs since the All "A". They need to bounce back and get a "w" in Erlanger against St. Henry on Friday. Nothing will be easy the rest of the year for the Mustangs.

Congratulations to Augusta on a huge win tonight. Good luck the rest of the year.

Wow is right. Nice win for Augusta, George would be proud.
