Vols report secondary violations...

Safe to say that Kiffin has made a splash?

What an embarrassment.

I say once again, this makes Al Davis look good in getting rid of the guy and may be one of the few things Davis has done right over the last few years.

As Greg Doyel said in his scathing piece on Kiffin..."he is screwed".

Al Davis, for as whacky as he may seem, is not an idiot. Maybe I am wrong, but I really feel UT will be looking for a new coach sooner, rather than later.

At least he nailed this violation.

Those are the two most ridiculous violations ever. I wonder if he'll get a jaywalking citation today too?

Rules are rules and he knew them and obviously went out of the way to see these two things happen. Funny how you didnt see any other coach blowing this our of proportion or taking it too far. That shows class, something Kiffin could use some help on instead of being a little cry baby who crys wolf too many times.

UT will do just fine with Lane. Give him a chance. At least he reported them.

They are silly but this has been a rule for a couple of years now. It was classic for coaches to take kids to the arena, and have PA announcer say the kids name in the starting lineup and show stuff on video board. NCAA took that away.

Kiffin is not up to snuff on the rules.

ESPN was reporting this morning that the U.T. coach was guilty of a 3rd violation in the 3rd week. this one was mentioning the name of a prize recruit RB on the radio. U.T. reported the violation........................

A little more than a week after wrongly accusing Florida's Urban Meyer of cheating, first-year Tennessee coach Lane Kiffin has had his own hand slapped ... again.

Tennessee plans to self-report a secondary violation, the third one involving Kiffin in the last month, after he mentioned unsigned prospect Bryce Brown by name during a radio show in Knoxville on Friday morning.

Brown is scheduled to make an official visit to Tennessee this weekend and is rated by Scouts Inc. as the No. 2 running back prospect in the country.

Al Davis may be crazy but he is not stupid, lol. Looks like Kiffin running off at the mouth is coiming back to haunt him. This years pre season SEC meetings/banquet should be interesting. First the false charges about U.F.'s Meyers and this week the recent contoversy with UGA's M. Richt he is running out of people to sit with or talk to, lol.

We should probably start a "Track the Kiffin violations" thread.

Hearing there are more to come...

I'm surprised we don't have more vol fans on BGPs. I know I see a bunch of vol stuff around Louisville/Kentucky and in stores vol stuff alot, hardly any Bama items. And we have I know at least 3/4 "Good" Bama fans on here.

Come on admit it if you are, I'll be nice. :ylsuper:

Larry, I'm a VOL through and through - Class of '83 with a BSCE degree from the hill. I try to post when I can - been extremely busy the past month or so with work. I've lived in KY now for 17 years, but my NKY friends all know I fly the Orange flag in the fall!

That I would not doubt at all.

Isn't his recruiting coordinator the old coach at Ole Miss? If so, he should be canned. I know the he and Kiffin go back to USC, but he also had over 4 years of recruiting experience as a head man. Where Kiffin lacks experience Oregron should be there to fill the void.
