You're going off a technicality, but I feel confident you know what was meant. You've presented one way of looking at it. Here's another: who wins if both teams make all their free throws?

Both teams missed FT's, both teams can say that if they had shot better from the line they wouldn't have needed OT.

And that's what he meant when he said free throws killed them. Sure, Boston could have won if they hit one more free throw, but they also only missed three all game. Had L.A. shot the same percentage Boston had, they'd have won. Missing free throws affected L.A. more.

LA missed more free throws than they normally would, there for it hurt them bad in regulation. I don't really get what your trying to prove here.

 

The whole point is, the whole "they lost because of this or that, or they would've won if they only did this" arguement is stupid. LA didn't make those free throws, so it's a moot point.

L.A. has to feel confidnet after tonights win. Kobe plays awful at times, bad free throw shooting all around and still come out with a W. Fun game to watch!

I watched the whole game, good stuff.

Only caught the end of the game and it was awesome.

Entertaining game. I thought the last foul on Garnette was pretty ticky tack at that point in the game. Glad to see the emotion in the game. I'd love to see them hook up again in the fianls.

This game had the feel of a playoff game. Great win for the Lakers on the road with Kobe playing bad and the Lakers getting sloppy at times.

Kobe ended up with 26 pts, 10 rebs, and 5 ast. He shot the ball terrible, but made two huge threes late in the fourth quarter when it counted. Pierce guards Kobe as well as anyone in the league and is often overlooked when discussing the best on-the-ball defenders. Although there were a lot of points scored, both squads played good defense. Good win for L.A. considering they were playing on back-to-back nights.

 

The game was physical and chippy. I liked it.
