I just wanted to update all the Ram fans about the off season workouts. They are awesome!!!!!! They are wrestling, lifting weights, core strengthening, agilities and running! I have watched them workout several times and it is intense. I can't wait until Spring practice!!!!!!!! I am proud of the dedication to the off season that the coaches and players are putting into the weights and conditioning. It will pay off next fall.

I have to agree sidelindoc, when they come walking out of the school, they look worn out. And many of the players look to be in much better shape then they were a year ago. Raceland's winter program is not for the timid, that is for sure.

It is to our disadvantage to have a game under your belt before you play us. Besides, Ram already pointed out that Ashland is probably the pre-season number one area team. I hope we hang with you and keep it respectful.

Actually, this year each team has the choice of only having one scrimmage and starting there season in week 0, which gives them one open week during the season, such as Ashland has done. Or, they can have two scrimmages and start their season in Week 1, which will not give them an open week during the season, such as Raceland has done.

 

So, Ashland will only have one scrimmage and start their season in Week 0, with 11 weeks to play 10 games, while Raceland will have two scrimmages and start their season in Week 1 and will have 10 weeks to play 10 games.

With all due respect everyone works hard in the offseason, it comes down to who has the better players. Working hard in the offseason is a standard requirement now for all football programs. Raceland is one of numerous programs that has a great off season program. I have to admit though you must have it bad for the Rams, to post about high school off season program hahaha only kidding.
