I had no idea until looking that Trinity was 17-4. It seems like it's been really quiet.

I know some districts do coin toss for ties with two teams. Would all three teams maybe flip a coin at the same time and the odd team gets 4th seed. Then you have two teams to do a regular coin toss....?

This win didn't surprise me at all. Waggener blew out Manual earlier in the year.

 

I wouldn't want to be matched up against Waggener in my first game of districts or regionals because if they are hot they can beat anyone. If Jenkins returns, the same can be said for Manual.

An exceedingly fair question ... one I've thought of myself from time to time.

Used to think Seneca was the dark horse in the loaded seventh region. Now that Seneca is ranked pretty high in the state I now pass this dark horse title over to Waggener. Seems that Sloan and Bradshaw can really put up some nice numbers. How many other regions would Waggener probably win?? More than one I would say. Don't think they can win the region, but they can certainly ruin someone's party for one day.

This T team must have great potential even if the 7th region is a cake walk to the State Finals!! :lol::lol::lol: (Even if Rupp is a tough place for the 7th Region to play)

Trinity athletics department explained it is point differential between the three teams in those three games and that Trinity will be the number three seed and play Seneca while Waggener will get to play Ballard. That's a huge difference!

 

There is a meeting later this week to confirm this. Of course Waggener could upset Ballard and make a mess of things from a Trinity point of view.

 

Of course Seneca would not be easy, just a little less basketball talent than the Bruins.
