Which Regional favorite will be "missing in action"?

Featured Replies

Yea, I think Mason County and GRC are about on the same level at this point in the 10th, but hey don't count out Campbell County, Scott, and possibly even Montgomery County either, upsets do occur!!

Holmes is great but the 9th is always competitive, plus they are hearing how good they are which can play with your mind.

Hate to admitt it but McCreary Central will be home again.

The way I here it Raider Rob has things under control and is getting his team ready to peak at tourny time or atleast that is what the people around him are saying. That means they will win atleast one game in the district tourny and win out in the regional tourny. That is what the Raider and Rob faithfull say is going to happen. I hope they are right and we get to see them play in Rupp. I have only been able to attended one game this year but I would definately arrange my schedule so I could make the trip to Lexington to support the Raiders.

I would Love to see McCreary in Rupp. Then the whule State could see the type talent they have.

Couldn't have said it better myself...

I look for Mason to come out of the 10th, with all of the unfortunate injuries GRC has faced this year I think Mason will be the team to beat, but it should be a great battle.

I think Gold Sunrise may disagree with you.

Yes I disagree, but not with who you think. I think Scott gets a great draw and could advance to the state.

Mason Co wasn't even the preseason favorite.

Yes they were according to the Cats Pause Yearbook, of course the writer of the article was from Mason Co. ...:sssh:

Hazard is the defending 14th region champs and have most of their team back from last year. They would have to be considered the favorites in the 14th, but the tournament is played on a neutral court at Powell County this year and Perry County Central or Knott County Central could just as easily be the representative at Rupp. Both have the fire power to derail the Bulldogs.

They need that type of run. I would really enjoy seeing them make it.

I wouldn't be shocked at all right now for Warren Central not to come out of the 4th Region. They're not as much of a front runner as people think. I'm not even sure they're the best team in the 4th.

I hope its not Holmes and I hope its Scott Co.

I would have a hard time making the Bulldogs the favorites right now. Knott Co. has beaten Hazard twice and Perry Central is beating everyone. Plus, Hazard's less than stellar performance in the All "A" State Tournament makes me wonder if they can repeat as 14th Region Champs. But, on the other side, Big Al has proven time after time that he knows the way to Rupp Arena.
