January 29, 200917 yr Looks like we will be getting a double whammy. Some of the blogs and such that I have been reading are suggesting we can get another significant amount of snowfall similar to the even we had last March. I heard Tim Hedrick call it the "Alabama Intruder"... They are tracking this front from the Gulf, that will contain a lot of moisture. The models are projecting it to head towards the Appalachians. The exact track will be critical. Well east of Apps very little snow. Just east, some snow... Over top or just west we are possibly going to see blizzard like conditions. Yikes.

January 29, 200917 yr Author Which days? They say they could be putting a WInter Storm Watch up this weekend. I have seen Monday through Wednesday...not positive though.

January 29, 200917 yr I am hearing this same thing, our local news (wsaz,Huntington,W.va) said that hopefully it will be more snow this time and not the all out ice storms. Like mentioned earlier, they are saying it all depends on the track of the storm but it is definately supposed to be a strong southern storm like earlier this week. Hopefully they will be wrong....I hat snow, ice winter and the thought or sight of any of it.:irked:
January 29, 200917 yr If, and a big if at that, it does hit, then I hope it's just snow and no more ice.

January 29, 200917 yr Please not again. I am a horrible stay at home mom after about a day and a half.:lol::lol:
January 29, 200917 yr Well, after this one and everyone got stuck at home, imagine what the run on the grocery stores will be this weekend.
January 29, 200917 yr This is what Steve Horstmeyer (from Fox19 in Cincinnati) is saying in his latest email: Latest model runs have a big one developing in the Gulf of Mexico and crossing the southern Applachians to become a monster nor'easter. East coast lows rarely bring us a large amount of snow, unless the upper part is over us. This one has to be watched, but right now I am not too worried.
