January 30, 200917 yr Author FWIU, the early model runs have now pushed this storm well east which would be great news for those folks in central and eastern KY who are trying to thaw out and get their electricity back. Still showing caution though, this thing could track back westward over night as it went eastward last night. They are still saying Saturday before they can really pinpoint anything. So if you want more snow and a lot of it, as of now you are likely disappointed.

January 31, 200917 yr Just spent the week working (except for the golf :sssh:) in Florida and lower Georgia in 70+ weather. Coming back home vividly reminds me of how sick I am of this winter and cold weather. It seems like it's gone on and on and on and we still have all of February to go. :isurrender:
January 31, 200917 yr According to Channel 5 in Cincy, path of the next storm will only give us an inch or two BUT they said if the storm shifts even 50 miles to the west, we get much more. Goes 100 miles to the west and major snow. Said south and to the East of Cincy gets more.

January 31, 200917 yr Its looking more and more like it is going to miss us. But they keep saying a shift of 50-100 miles in the storm is the difference between flurries and heavy, heavy snow. IMO, I don't think these meteorologists have any idea what this thing is going to do.
January 31, 200917 yr One forecast I saw said eastern Kentucky was in store for a hammering Monday and Tuesday from a system cranking up and moving up from the Gulf. He predicted blizzard conditions. Then an hour later the weather lady on CNN said all Kentucky was going to get was a quick moving clipper system moving from the Midwest. Not a lot of snow, maybe an inch. Someone is confused is all I can say. :confused::idunno:
January 31, 200917 yr Latest models I've seen have it bearing east and then northward, where as early reports had suggested that the storm would press pretty strongly north from the south around New Orleans. Right now it looks as though the majority of the storm won't even be over land but rather over the atliantic.

My achy collarbone and foot barometer are telling me this is going to be a non-event. Should know more by Monday night.

I like a little snow ever now and then, but the state needs a break right now.
