2009 UK Football Schedule

Tough schedule this year.

I think there is a stretch where they play 9 straight games without a bye.

Actually, I think they'll play 10 or 11 games without a bye. I looked at it yesterday and I know it was 10 or more in a row.

The rumor is there will be a game with Miami (OH) at Paul Brown Stadium in Cincy.

Looks like it is not a rumor! This is the toughest UK schedule I have ever seen. 7 wins would be fantastic.

Should be locks:

Miami (OH)

UL-Monroe

EKU

Should be wins:

Louisville

Miss. State

Vandy

Games that can go either way:

South Carolina

Tennessee

Georgia

Auburn

Alabama

Guaranteed loss:

Florida

I think 7-9 wins is a possibility, depending on how new players perform. The Cats will have a very good defense and we'll have to wait and see how the offense clicks.

You are quite the optimist.

You can take your word "lock" and flush it down the toilet. There is not such a word in college football.

Games UK could win

Miami(OH)-Should bring a lot of fans to Cincy

UL- Kragthorpe's fairwell tour begins

EKU- Different competition

UL-Monroe-Hopefully it won't be as close as a couple years ago

MSU- How well does Florida's offense suite MSU's talent?

Vanderbilt-I love going to Nashville, hopefully cats can pay back to dores' for last year

Auburn- Worst college football coaching hire...maybe ever

Games they have a slight chance of winning

South Carolina-The ole' ball coach is losing some touch since he handed the keys to his kid to drive the offense.

Georgia-Probably a loss, but losing both their QB and RB will hurt.

Alabama-Probabaly a loss. See LSU 2007 for reference.

Games I'm afraid they won't win for the rest of my life

Tenneesee-Should battle close to the end, until a player for UK false starts on the game winning field goal, on the next play the kick is blocked and returned for a TD.

Florida-Tebow's back, probably one of the best guy's in the world, but I hope he regrets it.

Realistic prediction 6-6

Hopeful prediction 7-6

Wishful prediction 8-4

Intoxicated prediction 9-3 and above

I'd say your right about Floriday. Hopefully when Fulmer left, he took the dominane with him. Kiffin looks too immature for the job. I do think the ole' ball coach is losing it a little bit. A lot of our key defensive players came back. I'm predicting 8-4, and a Chic-Fillet (Peach) Bowl bid. Yes, I have been a UK football fan all my life, so I am an eternal optimist/tortured soul.

What if it clogs up the drain?

I agree. When you play Georgia, Florida, Tennessee and South Carolina year in and year out thats plenty exciting and interesting for me. However I would love to see UK bring in a bottom dweller from one of the big BCS conferences; a Duke, UNC, Baylor or a Stanford would be perfect IMO. I loved the Indiana matchups of years past and thought it was good for the program.

Blue

UNC is far from a bottom dweller in the ACC. They have gotten alot better since Butch Davis has been there. He is the best recruiter in the country bar none and he is bringing in the type of players that will have North Carolina as a consistent top 25 team. I know you guys will say Pete Carroll or Urban Meyer or someone, but Butch's track record speaks for itself. Look what he did at Miami after probation. Assembled so much talent that Sean Taylor was backing up Ed Reed. And just landing a top 10 or 15 class at UNC is an amazing deal in itself. Did you see them last year? UK could beat them but not likely.

Tough schedule. Look forward to the road trips:banana:

I agree, but should get enough W's to play in a bowl game.
