Has any progress been made filling the last spot for the 2009 season? Do colleges usually wait this long?

The rumor is there will be a game with Miami (OH) at Paul Brown Stadium in Cincy.

I had heard that also with Miami playing at UK the following year. I think it depends if Miami can either change or get out of the Northwestern game.

UK wants a more winnable game I'm afraid. But I'm sure fans wouldn't mind getting a home and home with USF. I think that would be more interesting game than the teams they been bringing in, non-conference wise.

UK doesn't need interesting games in the non-conference schedule.

I agree. When you play Georgia, Florida, Tennessee and South Carolina year in and year out thats plenty exciting and interesting for me. However I would love to see UK bring in a bottom dweller from one of the big BCS conferences; a Duke, UNC, Baylor or a Stanford would be perfect IMO. I loved the Indiana matchups of years past and thought it was good for the program.

No that is right. The way Butch Davis is recruiting, North Carolina may soon be the football top dog in the ACC.

I have always wanted UK football to award their fans and followers like the basketball team has been doing for years. I fully understand the circumstances are totally different, especially with football only have four non-conference games. Those need to be "W's" since the 8 SEC games each season are murderous in trying to become bowl eligible.

The basketball team goes to Maui every four years. Las Vegas this season. New York on occasion. Let the UK football faithful make a trip to maybe play UNLV. How about at Hawaii? How about at Florida International or Florida Atlantic in November or even December like Western Kentucky did last season.

Anyone else have any thoughts or suggestions along these lines?
