TheLegends64 Posted January 28, 2009 Posted January 28, 2009 Has any progress been made filling the last spot for the 2009 season? Do colleges usually wait this long?
colonel-fan Posted January 29, 2009 Posted January 29, 2009 Has any progress been made filling the last spot for the 2009 season? Do colleges usually wait this long? The rumor is there will be a game with Miami (OH) at Paul Brown Stadium in Cincy.
JBauer24 Posted January 29, 2009 Posted January 29, 2009 The rumor is there will be a game with Miami (OH) at Paul Brown Stadium in Cincy. I had heard that also with Miami playing at UK the following year. I think it depends if Miami can either change or get out of the Northwestern game.
swamprat Posted February 1, 2009 Posted February 1, 2009 FIU is looking to get out of their game with USF this fall. Think the Cats would come to RayJay for a rematch with the Bulls? We owe them for 2000. http://www2.tbo.com/content/2009/jan/31/sp-usf-may-lose-2009-opponent/
TheLegends64 Posted February 1, 2009 Author Posted February 1, 2009 UK wants a more winnable game I'm afraid. But I'm sure fans wouldn't mind getting a home and home with USF. I think that would be more interesting game than the teams they been bringing in, non-conference wise.

IronCat Posted February 16, 2009 Posted February 16, 2009 UK doesn't need interesting games in the non-conference schedule. I agree. When you play Georgia, Florida, Tennessee and South Carolina year in and year out thats plenty exciting and interesting for me. However I would love to see UK bring in a bottom dweller from one of the big BCS conferences; a Duke, UNC, Baylor or a Stanford would be perfect IMO. I loved the Indiana matchups of years past and thought it was good for the program. Blue
00Rocket28 Posted February 16, 2009 Posted February 16, 2009 I don't think UK will want any part of UNC...
IronCat Posted February 16, 2009 Posted February 16, 2009 I don't think UK will want any part of UNC... Yeah you are probably right. Their recent success had slipped my mind.
strongopenyon Posted February 16, 2009 Posted February 16, 2009 I don't think UK will want any part of UNC... No that is right. The way Butch Davis is recruiting, North Carolina may soon be the football top dog in the ACC. I have always wanted UK football to award their fans and followers like the basketball team has been doing for years. I fully understand the circumstances are totally different, especially with football only have four non-conference games. Those need to be "W's" since the 8 SEC games each season are murderous in trying to become bowl eligible. The basketball team goes to Maui every four years. Las Vegas this season. New York on occasion. Let the UK football faithful make a trip to maybe play UNLV. How about at Hawaii? How about at Florida International or Florida Atlantic in November or even December like Western Kentucky did last season. Anyone else have any thoughts or suggestions along these lines?
BIG BLUE Posted February 17, 2009 Posted February 17, 2009 A little off the subject but does anyone have any information on the spring game?
colonel-fan Posted February 17, 2009 Posted February 17, 2009 I read somewhere that it was set for Saturday, April 25th, but I don't have a link.

NineOh Posted February 17, 2009 Posted February 17, 2009 KSR is reporting that a matchup versus Miami (OH) at Paul Brown Stadium is looking more likely. I like it.
