The weak non conference part should set them up for a bowl game if they can win a few conference battles.

I saw UK play Georgia in Athens a few years ago. It's a very nice place to go. The fans are great.

Looks the Miami game is official:

Path cleared for Kentucky-Miami (Ohio) matchup

It looks like Kentucky has found an opponent for its 2009 opener -- Miami (Ohio).

Graham Watson of ESPN.com reports that Miami (Ohio) will not play Colorado as originally scheduled, has bumped its game with Northwestern back on the schedule and will face Kentucky on Sept. 5. The game will be played at Paul Brown Stadium in Cincinnati.

Kentucky and Miami (Ohio) had been in discussions for weeks about opening the season against each other in Cincinnati, but the snag was that Miami (Ohio) was already slated to play Northwestern on Sept. 5. The RedHawks, though, were apparently able to get that game moved.
