Very proud of the Black Devils. They could have tucked their tales an ran when they were down 9 late. But they toughed it out and won a thriller against a very disciplined team. Brossart has nothing to be ashamed of and I am sure they will have much success the rest of the season.

Now Deming has to forget about tonight and get prepared for a very scrappy Calvary Christian team.

Wow I'm shocked, Brossart always comes out of the 10th. Nice win for Deming.

There's no such thing as a sure thing, and there were a handful of us who felt that our Mustangs were vulnerable against this Deming ballclub.

With the absense of Brian Wolfer we had no recourse but to go small should Rieger, or as happened tonight, Drew Kremer, get into foul trouble.

With all that being said, Brossart certainly had our chances. We led by 9 points with five minutes to play in the game, when Kyle King put his team on his shoulders and by scoring 12 points in the final stanza, carried the Black Devils into the championship game of the 2009 10th Region Tournament.

With the win over Brossart, Deming earns the opportunity to play Calvary Christian in the finals on Saturday night, and the Mustangs' six year skien of 10th Region "A" Titles comes to an end.

Credit a HUGE turnout of Deming supporters, and as the game wound down, everybody except the Mustangs friends and family crowd, had joined forces in rooting for the Black Devils against the six time "A" regional champs. Everybody loves an underdog, and they had a good one to cheer for tonight. Watching the Deming fans react at the final buzzer made me proud to realize that we are still a big win, and it really means something to the teams capable of knocking us off.

Sweet Pete - Your boys acquitted themselves well. It had to be a great night to be a Deming fan!

Congratulations to Coach Jamey Johnson and his Black Devils, and best of luck in the Saturday night championship game.

You think this might Qualify as a signature win, it means alot more if we can bring home the trophy and we know Calvary Christian will be coming at us with every thing they have.

To Brossart you have nothing to be ashamed of, we knew you were a tough opponent and it took everything we had and you pushed us to our outer limits. Thanks to your caoch and your team for a great ballgame. I for one give the Mustangs credit for a well fought game.

Now we have to concentrate on tonight.
