Dixie Heights 66 Scott 61

EJ Murray should have more than 3 points. He is probably their best player.

IMO: This is a bad loss for Scott because from what I have heard Dixie is not very good at all.

Well it looks like Dixie shut him down. And as far as Dixie not being good.....well...obviously a matter of opinion. They are young, but they do have talent. They have won 3 of the last 4... beat NCC and Newport and now Scott.

An 8-8 record isn't an opinion, it is a fact. If you think this is good...well...obviously it is a matter of opinion.

Some credit is due to the Dixie senior, Stephen Pompelio, who worked his butt off to earn 23 points and more than 10 rebounds, and to the junior Josh Raleigh who stayed on E.J. Murray all night like glue and limited him to 3 points.

The fact that Dixie started out 2-6 and now has battled back to 8-8 is pretty impressive. As mentioned before they have won 5 out of their last 6, including wins against NCC, Newport, and Scott...all of which many people picked as upsets. The Newport game looks a little better now too that they knocked off Beechwood. The fact that they started slow was no suprise to a team that lost 7 seniors, and this year with playing a frosh and 7th grader major minutes. So yeah that is a matter of opinion, but you have to look at what has been happening lately.

I agree, the Colonels are making tremendous strides. Can they get past St. Henry in the Districts though?

I think it is more possible now than in the beginning of the season. St. Henry is good!!! Never should they be underestimated in anyway. All you can ask for is the best game from both teams.
