Throw Newport in there also for the Ninth Region.

Elliott fans like myself should be happy with this draw. Quarter draw with 16, 7, 10, 13 is a good draw. If we could just get this kind of draw in Lexington in 20 days all is good. But, just like playing the Lottery you have no control how it comes out. I hope we can see a Shelby Valley-Elliott SF on Saturday afternoon 1/31. Lot of bridges to cross before then. By my count five of them to be exact starting on 1/17 with Fairview. But it sets up nicely.

Who's looking to be the favorite in the 12th region this year for all "a".

 

Probably Danville. They just have so much more athleticism than the other three. Burgin is off to a very good start and hosts the tournament. Somerset is always tough in this region, too. I don't think Monticello has the horses to win it, but the 12th region tournament only takes two wins to get to Richmond so you never know.

Only four. It originally was a little bigger. Harrodsburg was Class A, but then the school closed. Garrard County was in the all A, but got too big around 2001 or so. And KSD originally participated, but don't anymore, preferring to play in the Mason-Dixon Deaf School tournament (which is basically their national championship - I don't blame them!).

Thanks, I know that there are alot of big schools that make up the 12. I know that the 13th has gotten smaller this year with the loss of Evarts and Cumberland.

With so many strong small schools, it's easy to see why they started the tournament. Let's prove who is the best small school in the area on the court. A great idea! As JB says don't forget Newport this year either. Throw in Walton-Verona, Gallatin County and Bishop Brossart, there's some pretty good small school hoops being played up north!!

The 9th should be good to see. HC NCC and St. Henry are on the same side and Newport and Beechwood on the other bracket. I would Predict Newport vs HC.

BB is 10th, the other two are obviously in the 8th--Just making a point on the many fine small schools up north.
