From 99-05, it was a 3 team option because Ludlow didn't want to host and their gym wasn't big enough.

 

Beechwood came in to the district in the 05/06 season. 07/08 would have been their turn to host, but they wanted a larger gate, so they used Holmes gym instead. Holmes didn't host the tournament last year. Beechwood did, but at Holmes gym. (If that makes sense.)

 

2009 should be Holmes turn which is why the KHSAA probably has them listed as the host school, even if indeed, it is HC's turn to host.

As I am as well. I don't think it really matters where it's played though to be honest. Holmes looks like the hands down favorite and the other three are fighting it out to see who gets to finish runner up.

Coach Schumate has done a great job with the 08-09 Beechwood squad. The team plays hard and has quite a bit of talent. For 3 quarters, Cov. Cath. looked good to very good against Highlands on Monday. Then, point guard issues and general health issues (Isler racing off the court to the restroom, Pauly out sick, Shover out sick, Counts out sick) derailed the Colonels. Picking this game without knowing who will be healthy enough to provide quality minutes for Cov. Cath. is like throwing darts blindfolded. My crystal ball says Colonels win in a close battle.

 

I have known the current group of seniors since they were sixth graders, and some well before. I knew then that they were a very talented group of young men. Coach Schmuate was the perfect man to mold these boys into a great team! Good luck Tigers, tomorrow, and the rest of the season!:fight:

I'll be pretty disappointed if each CCH kid got 2 tickets and Beechwood got all the rest. Understand it's a home game, but that is unbelievable. And Yeah I plan on getting there early.
