How many runs per season do you think Dunn's bad D cost the Reds in Left field every year?

Maybe 15.

The DC deal fell through, I will let you guys know when I hear something.

I've heard the Red Sox are interested if only for a 1 or 2 year deal. I don't think they think that Lowell will be ready to go or they are going to try and make a deal for Teagarden or Salty. Have you heard anything about that?

I imagine they would put Dunn at first, and Youk at 3rd.

Ortiz as DH or Dunner as DH?

Yep, if Lowell isn't able to go that's what would happen. Unless Papi was actually better at 1st than Dunn and then he would play first. They brought back Kotsay also so I would say that Plan A is to go with him at first with some until Lowell is healthy and use Baldelli as the 4th outfielder. I do think they are interested in Dunn at a decent short term price.

Dunn playing 80+ games in Boston would be scary. He'd have a field day with the short porches and the monster would stand no chance.

That is if he'd ever hit the ball the opposite way.

Sox have offered a one year deal.

Sox look like the front runner right now. 1 year deal for around 10 mill.

Oh boy. Dunn thought it was rough in Cincy. Wait till he gets a load of the Boston media:popcorn:

Im with you there, but he should have a great time hitting balls over the short porch in Fenway.

How do the RF dimensions in Fenway compare to GABP?

It is a little bit of a misconception about the short porch in right field at Fenway. True, right down the right field line the distance is only 302' at "Pesky's Pole." However, you really have to hook the ball around the pole to hit one out at that distance because the bleachers go straight back from there to about 350' and all the way out to 380' in right center. GABP is 325' down the right field line and 370' in right center and it is a gradual curve out to that distance--not the straight drop like at Fenway. The walls at GABP are 8' high in right compared to between 3-5' at Fenway. Here's a good comparison of the dimensions that shows the extreme angle of right field at Fenway:
