Who is truly the national champion?

Featured Replies

With Utah sitting there undefeated and knocking off an Alabama team that was #1 for a good portion of the season, is the winner of Florida/Oklahoma truly the national champion? I personally think Florida is the best team in the country but Utah did everything they were supposed to do ON THE FIELD and I respect that greatly. I was just interested to see what everyone else thought!

Florida and Oklahoma are the two best team, so the winner deserves #1...

Agreed but if I am a Utah fan I am not satisfied with that explanation.

And? Utah had a FANTASTIC season, and deserve #2 as long as the title game isn't an instant classic. If they have a problem with that too bad...

Um OK I'm sure you would be happy with that explanation if it was UC.

Happy with it? No. Those are the two best teams I've seen over the year, so where would I have a legit complaint...

One word ... playoff.

Two words. Keep dreaming...

Can't answer this question until later Thursday night...and then I will probably tell you Florida.

Like most fans, I simply want a system that gives us a clear-cut, decided-on-the-field national champion.

The two best teams decide it on the field Thursday night. What's the problem again???

USC is the best team. Utah deserves mention and consideration. Winner of UF/OU takings home the champion both BCS and AP

Tell that to Texas ...
Tell that to Texas ...

Tell it to Texas Tech who was drilled by Ole Miss. The CLEARLY two best teams this year are Florida and Oklahoma. If you didn't follow it closely enough, sorry...

I can follow it as closely as I want, thank you ... do we really need the condescending tone?

Correct me if I am wrong, but Texas did beat Oklahoma on a neutral field.

And it's the same Ole Miss team that won at Florida, as I recall.
