That's what I thought. Too bad they treat one of their own that way!

From what I hear Dahlstrom was done this same way when Massie got the job. So what comes around goes around.

Yeah, she and a few parents are the only reasons Massie is no longer at Bourbon.

 

It seems that is always the case. I think that the same situation happened with Chuke Williams; I know him well and got that impression during the time he was there. Bourbon has a potential to big a great football program (they did win a state title in the late 90's), but it seems that many outside forces won't allow that to happen. I'm just an outsider and don't really know the whole story.

I wish Coach Massie the best in whatever he decides to do. I do believe he was headed in the right direction and with time would have pulled them out of the situation they are currently in. Good job Rick and best of luck to you.

Coach Poynter does a good job as well but it would be a shock that he would come in under the current situation; Knowing how the program is being handled right now but it would get him closer to home. If in fact he is taking it, I believe he will do a fine job and will improve the colonels. Best of luck to Coach Poynter as well.

Above all, I wish nothing but the best for the players. These young men have dedicated themselves and have stuck it out through some rough times. I commend them for sticking it out and never quitting.

Sorry to see this happen, because it's the kids that are affected the most.

Hate to hear Rick will be leaving, spoke to him recently and he certainly cares. He was getting the program back, its takes time. Good luck, you were in deep.

Yes, Johnny Poynter is the new coach at Bourbon ... it's official!

When the parents run the program there is something wrong.

This is a problem that's becoming a cancer in a lot of school districts.

Don't no the details but yes that was pretty quick. You fire Massie on Friday and hire a new coach on Monday ... maybe they fired Massie during the season but waited to tell him!
