We can't get more than 2-3 inches. While Oregon is expecting another 5-6 feet this weekend.

I hate snow and cold, so I'm sincerely hoping they are wrong.

If I remember correctly, it seems like most of the time we got some kind of snow fall when my kids were getting ready to go back to school after the holiday break.

Two to Four inches, count on it!

 

Maybe other places, but not in the snow-less Ohio Valley, will be rain, mark it down. Been over a decade since we had a really good snowfall like the old days. Global warming is for sure in our area.

We haven't had snow and cold to amount to anything in my area. since the winters of 1976-77 and 1977-78. Those two back-to-back winters were about as bad as it gets. I remember the schools were closed from around January 4th until about the middle of February in Owsley County. There would be a deep snow, then about 3 to 4 days later another snow would fall on the first one. And nothing melted very much. Night lows were below freezing and daytime highs were rarely over 20 degrees. The South Fork of the Kentucky River that runs through Booneville froze over to the point that people were walking on it from one side to the other. The same thing happened two straight years and hasn't happened since.

My kids have snow boots and no snow lol. I just want one good one so they can go sledding and play in the snow. We are thinking of going tubing at Perfect North at some point.

With only having a 50/50 chance of snow/rain and temps in the low 40's, I would think you will need your umbrella, more than your snow shovel! From the National Weather Service....

I want a job as a weatherman. I mean, seriously, what other job exists out there that you can be so consistently wrong and keep your job? Not only that, but it's generally just accepted by everyone that you suck at what you do. Could you imagine if you showed up at your job, generally did very poor and inaccurate work, your boss knew in advance you were going to do a poor job, and still get to show up day after day after day?

 

Look at their prediction for Tuesday - sun, clouds, rain, and snow. I'd say they have all their bases covered on that one.

On top of that...

 

I am not doubting there is some effort in the job, but now they simply just look at a radar and tell you what is going on. I imagine a computer tells them virtually everything that is supposed to happen. In other words, I cannot see them sitting around crunching numbers and coming up with some sort of scientific discovery every day.
