Most of the time that's true. But, the refs didn't have a problem with it when Patrick Sparks walked, stepped on the out of bounds line (no foul called), and took a last second three point shot when UK played UL in Freedom Hall. The refs called Myles for a foul on Sparks and the crowd stood and watched Sparks take 3 free throws to beat UL.

Lol you have a very twisted view of what actually happened on that play, it seems.

That's true.

I've never understood why some people think it's actually good to LOSE a game before a big game. Makes ZERO sense to me.

I agree. No way UK, or anyone for that matter is scared of UL because they lost a game. They might lose Sunday... But not because big bad Louisville got mad due to this game.

I think this comment is misinterpreted. I don't think anyone expects UK to be SCARED of UL because they lost the game. I think the comment means that Pitino is going to be killin' these boys and they won't make the same mistakes twice in a row.

UL losing is worse news for UK than it is UL when talking about Sunday's game....

As much as I don't want to agree with this statement being a UK fan, this is exactly what I said last night at the end of this game.

 The refs couldn't blow their whistles enough in the game, but swallowed them on that last play... Classic.

Typical.

Considering the UofL player yesterday hardly got touched they made the correct call. I've seem more contact in a press conference than on the play yesterday.

In my opinion it works both ways.

UL will have a very tough few days of practice so they should be very prepared to play the cats. However, this UL team has already had a few wake up calls this season from WKU and Minnesota so to me this loss wasn't that shocking and they wont rebound as strongly as many of their fans think.

The loss may give a UK team a little more confidence going into the game.

It's a push in my opinion.

 As is your insightful post...

Just a bad loss..

No hand shake from Ricky at the end of the game.

Final. T. Williams had a last second bank shot to win it but it didn't fall.

Why on earth did Williams take the last shot...............maybe they thought he was due to hit one since he was 2-15 from the field.

It's unusual for Pitino to not be competely gracious in defeat. I always have liked that about him. I honestly think he was furious, and maybe so furious he wasn't thinking, or needed to just walk away. I don't think he had anything against the UNLV coach, I think it was his players that had him all hoppin' mad.
