December 30, 200817 yr When you do finally get a chance to buy LRCW's lunch, please do something about the man's shoes. Once you go crocs, you won't buy anymore socks.
December 30, 200817 yr I enjoyed the State Finals Meeting BGPers And 2009 will get started on the right foot just as soon as UK beats Lousiville in Basketball. :thumb:
December 30, 200817 yr I can't help if I was exposed to blatant forest-nication. Yes you can help it.
December 30, 200817 yr Once you go crocs, you won't buy anymore socks. They were called "gardening shoes" for the longest time and sold for about eight bucks until some marketing genius figured out how to bleed the public dry...

December 30, 200817 yr There were so many eventful moments to pick from in 2008. Let's see how many I can remember. (I just did a huge list; but the software erased it all. :madman: Now, I have to try again...)
December 30, 200817 yr It's all part of my compensation package. Do you want me to get you a pair? I bought mcmama a bright orange pair for Christmas. They're hideous. She wanted to wear them at Georgetown College functions (I didn't have the heart to tell her that black is also a G'town school color). I must confess that I slipped my foot into one (a knockoff) at the mall in Ashland the other day just to check it out. I experienced a near fatal drop in testosterone; luckily I removed the thing in the nick of time...

Try working on that, and get back to me. :D

December 30, 200817 yr Okay, here's another shot at my list of some memorable events of 2008. This list is mostly personal; but everything here was, at least, discussed at some point here on BGP: Following our Bluebird's to another state crown. Steve Roller's terrible injury, and his inspiring recovery. The NKU Women's Basketball team winning the national championship. The christening of ADopted Admiral's "membership". Walking to the levee with Run to State and UKMustangfan. Run to State showing off his favorite (un-PC) shirt to his new friend at The Shadowbox; and countless other adventures. RebelK's recovery from a heart attack while enduring the loss of her mother. Getting to see Mr. & Mrs. Swamprat again, while meeting Mr. & Mrs. Cammando for the first time. Meeting Ram (once I finally found him) at Applebee's. The loss of an old friend, and the associated issues that BGPers helped me work through. My ongoing battle with the local fuzzy-rodent population. Being part of Rockmom's journey to "the sisterhood" as well as her many adventures in Workland and beyond. My niece winning the NTA National Championship in trampoline. My Nephew recovering from last year's broken leg and return to his first love--baseball. My good friend, Jeremy Baioni being announced as the new baseball coach at Highlands--a position my dad once held. All the various BGP outings. And I think they were all held at the Hofbrauhaus this year. Cammando's interesting question to the Dave Chapelle impersonator, and his (extreme) candor about his likes and dislikes. Mr. & Mrs. Gametime uniting in holy matrimony. BigColonel and KentuckyBlue doing the same, and taking great satisfaction in having played a small role in it happening. The blessed birth of BC & KB's little girl. Battling (usually, with little success) on various issues in the P&R forum. Starting, and taking part in, the most bodacious Late-Niters' thread to ever grace the pages of the General Discussion Forum. Watching the 5A state final with Rockmom, Watusi, Westsider, and the whole Belfry gang. So much more that I can't even begin to remember... Edited December 30, 200817 yr by Birdsfan
December 30, 200817 yr Oh there is so many to list... Stuff that I get a good chuckle out of off the top my head. - BF and his squirrel issues! - Sticky and his play-by-play thread on his stones!
