Too many things to quote so I'll just put them all together:

1. I think a lot are way off base regarding Mcclendon. He will in no way, shape, or form be a major contributor this year or see much time for that matter. He WILL however get in to get a little experience in blow outs like tonight. Nothing wrong with that. As someone said earlier, Henley is a great coach and has developed some great players with talent at a young age, so I don't see why some think pressure is being put on Chris because Coach H is playing him?? He won't be put in do or die situations but as the year progresses, you will see him more often and see his role increase. Let's not forget the players he practices against everyday.

2. My comment toward Coach Forrest not showing class tonight was probably a bit out of line, after thinking about it. When he saw #15 (pg) scoring at will and taking over against the JV, he pulled him and lete him sit the rest of the game.

3. Rico faces a lot more pressure than some of us realize. He has AAU and college coaches calling him every night trying to tell him different things to do, rather than just letting him have fun. Rico is the #1 player in the state for a reason though. If people think he's having a rough stretch because he's ONLY averaging 14 a game, I'll take it. Pittman is going to be the star of the team though. IMO there is no team in the state that can match up with him, which is the reason he's dropped 20+ in 4 straight games. Rico, JJ, and Riley all three play to unselfish at times. Pittman benefits GREATLY from this.

If you believe this post everybody else should turn in there stuff and hand your boys the Trophy.

Is Rico thinking about leaving High School early to go to the NBA Draft?

You talk like they are the Greatest team on the planet.

Do you think they could beat the Celtics in a 7 game series?

Riley vs Rondo

Housley vs Peirce

Rico vs Garnett

Pittman vs Allen

J. Johnson vs Perkins

How did Riley Shoot today from 3 land?

Is he still shooting 101%

Wow dude. The sad thing is, you're only looking jealous right now, and I'm not sure why? Did the team you follow lose to Holmes? =/

I don't think he said Holmes was an NBA team or that R. Johnson was leaving for the NBA. The boys just are that good. I'm not even a Holmes fan and I can admit that.

Did I ever once say that they were all world or that they were the greatest team on the planet?

I think you may be reading too much in to my posts. I simply gave an assessment of the KIDS in reply to some of the negative things said about them. Isn't that what BGP is for? To voice your opinion??

Sounds like a serious case of jealousy:rolleyes:, ER is not even a Holmes grad. ER follows alot of the Teams in the state and just happends to speak what he see's and believes. There is nothing wrong with being passionate about something you like, and ER along with alot of other folks, like watching this Team play. So for someone to make a post like the above is pretty over the top. I like alot of sports and try to keep track of whats going on, mostly on the court and on the Baseball field. The past few years N.Ky has produced some very good players and it's very exciting to root for them, and follow their career's. For example, I have know ties to Boone Co. at all, but I will follow and root for Cory Farris until he no longer plays Baseball. Luke Maile, I can't wait to see what kind of player this kid is going to turn out to be, but I'm thinkin big time.

You keep up the good work ER,:thumb: most of us who can't make alot of the games really enjoy your insight.

Actually it's a little closer to 98 or 99%, but who's keeping track? ;)

I know I can be a HUGE Holmes homer when it comes to basketball...but honestly, I don't think I've been proven wrong yet with any of my comments made about them. They continue to take care of business and prove all of their critics wrong.

I think Pittman would exploit Ray under the basket!

That would be fine with me.

Thanks, Eta...your original post didn't seem to be in character for you, anyway...

And thanks, True Blue, for sticking up for Coach Forrest!
