Just wondering ETA, because I haven't seen a whole lot of Holmes' JV squad, but I have yet to see McClendon or Arnold play JV?

Coach Forrest is probably the coach in our region that I respect the most. He is ALWAYS classy. I've been seeing him coach several games a year for the past twenty years or so. I had to stand up for him.

I'm sure this has been covered before, but is McClendon any relation of Andre or Eddie, both of whom played at Holy Cross (Ed - late 70's, Andre - early 90's). If so, does his participation on a varsity level affect his ability to change schools? Not trying to start any rumors, just wondering if the Holmes braintrust thinks it is in their interest to get him some varsity time for reasons other than just "seasoning"?

Even if you started every game. I don't believe they even acknowledge individual stats from middle schoolers as far as khsaa records go.

At times, shools will count Varsity points from middleschool students; but you are correct that the 4 years doesn't start until the student reached 9th grade. Conversely, if a player plays varsity as an 8th grader for say, Holy Cross then transferrs to Holmes (or Scott depending on geographics), Holy Cross could not oppose the move. If the player was a Freshman then transferred, H.C. would have an almost insurmountable case.

However, consider that at Holmes, 8th grade is part of the High School, falling under the same sets of rules, classes and teachers. Mush the same way at Beechwood, 7TH AND 8TH are part of the high school. Even though the KHSAA's model is of a more traditional k-8/9-12, more schools are strarting HS responsibilities early. If the kids are grouped together for everything else, why not sports?

But wasn't that the issue with Jaime Walz' point total, i.e. if you included her 7th and 8th grade numbers she set the state scoring record, and didn't she prevail in her argument that those points counted?

I am talking about the starters being left in this game. I'm just making a differentiation between two different actions and their perceptions... I'm not saying that this happened at this game.

I'm making a genreal statement that if ANY team down 40 leaves their starters in, I can deal with it.
