December 27, 200817 yr This is the first time I have ever had any problems with any gaming system. But Im just worrid that if I send this off to be fixed(refurbished) it will never be the same and I will run into another problem down the road. Where do you buy your ps3 from? I recieved mine from wal mart but my room mate works at best buy and he says their policy with the warrantys is if you have a problem you bring it in and walk out with a brand new one so theres no waiting that you would have shipping it in, waiting for them to repair and send back I woudn't worry about sending it back to Sony for a tune up. When you get it back it will be in working condition and probably with some kinda guarantee. I believe they are out in California so it might be a few week turn around time. It is important to note, they are gaming systems but they are essentially computers, as we all a computer will act up every now and then. But I have heard far worse stories about XBOX and over heating than any Sony problems.

December 27, 200817 yr Going from NCAA Football PS2 to NCAA Football PS3 has been a transition that has been harder than I first thought. I have been playing NCAA football on my PS2 since the inception. But I think I will like it more after a few months.
December 27, 200817 yr My parents told me to wait because the reviews are very bad....therefore I have to wait. I picked up World of Warcraft Wrath of Lich King today. The reviews for what are poor? I have a PS3 and I love it. You can browse the internet on it, it picks up wireless internet, it is a Blu-Ray DVD Player, the wireless controllers are great, and the games are awesome. I would definitely recommend the PS3 and I do not think the prices will drop too much, until the PS4 comes out (which I don't know anything about.)
December 28, 200817 yr How much did you make doing that? I pocketed about $100...plus paid for mine...it was when Walmart had $100 gift cards with purchase of PS3. January 10, 200917 yr So I'd been tracking my ps3 when I sent it back in, last tuesday or so. Took 5 days to get there and was recieved this monday by the company. I was just about to check its status today when I walked outside and it had been mailed back to me! I was pretty pumped, Its working again and only took them 3-4 days to fix and ship back to me! I was defintley happy with my service and am so glad to have it back as I've been playing the new call of duty(which has lived up to my standards of liking) and NBA Live 09!

I just played the new COD a few days ago and I was pleasantly surprised. It is awesome. I'm shocked that people prefer the XBOX over PS3. I'm interested to hear what features people prefer that the XBOX has that PS3 does not offer...
January 10, 200917 yr Just picked one up from SonyStyle.com for $249.00. You have to be approved for a Sony Visa card to get this deal. I love it. I have been around both systems and prefer the PS3 by far. I mostly play sports games and the Blu-Ray is great!
